Lolzzzz .. Ooh my, my, that is pathetic…….

ByTheWay the translator should have at least included the 3 .. GIN KI TEESREE SUHAG RAAT!!!…. Ooh God! What an insane Idea… :P

  9. Zag (unregistered) on February 22nd, 2007 @ 6:14 pm

Maybe they were trying to promote the message “Jin ki suhaag raat anay wali hai wo ye movie dekhain” or something similar… in which case they should be saluted for their marketing efforts :P or maybe that IS what’s written in the small white fine print above the movie’s name..

Amazing how out of touch with the “rest of the Pakistan” the audience of KMB is!

How many of you have ever picked up and read an urdu news paper? ever read the second last or the third last page?

For eons that/those page(s) have been full of ads for horror/sensual flicks such as this one. All aimed at your ordinary i-walk-on-the-road-i-have-no-vehicle-im-from-a-village-etc common man. The ppl that form the bulk of our masses.

The common labourer or mechanic or ordinary citizen doesn’t care if the movie is called WAR NIGHT 3…all he(/she?) wants at the end of a long day is entertainment…and what better way to catch his(her) fancy than to appeal to the most basic of instincts?!

Just pick up any paper…jang or nawa-i-waqt even and you will find similar examples. You will see all exposed women creatively covered up with fishnets (drawn by pen) or all exposed skin just creatively filled in with black but made really obvious! So its an open invitation that hey come over and see some skin…and again the urdu translations are titled to match…Janglee Haseena or something even more catchy.

So lets stop blaming enlightened moderation and do a reality check around us!

First of all , this pic is not from Karachi I guess and Bayl has not mentioned any credits for that and we call that plagiarism by the way and if I am wrong then Bayl I apologize in advance.

Punjab Cinemas has always been like this. It was 1995 and we were 5+ friends in Pindi. We escaped after dinner from Chaklala base to watch some double movie. We tried many cinemas but did not find any thing worth it. And then we thought we were in luck and we got one theatre. We saw the posters and we paid 35 Rs for each ticket(It was hell of money because we could watch movies in 7 Rs at Chaklala base which was playing jeeva at that time. Anyhow we entered in theatre and started waiting for some thing to come up. Nothing came but we knew that it was a double show so we had to wait. We waited and waited and nothing happened. This was my first time to go in double show. One of our friend was experienced, he kept us there saying, wait, it will come, after some time, he said it would come after interval.. We were really pissed off but nothing came up and we left the theatre and again looked at posters. We observed that those rascals have copy pasted some porn scenes into main posters and we were so dumb that we did not observe that. We even did not protest because we ran away from camp and we had to be there asap. But this was a memorable experience. I guess this is still a common scene after so many years in Punjab to attract people.

Tharak has no limit. I feel sorry that you couldn’t *cash* your ticket.

Punjab Cinemas has always been like this.

Yeah things like movie “Madam DEHARI BAAZ”. Songs like “Nach Punjaban” actually reflects the trend of punjabi entertainment which is very pathetic.

    Anyone remember Pashtoo movies?

First of all who said that this a plain translation of English title?

Secondly why new cinemas are not opening? Because lack of quality movies. Cinemas are quickly becoming extinct unless they are allowed to exhibit Bollywood flicks.
