Negligence by AKUH?

The president has spoken! AKUH will be investigated for negligence following a petition filed by the parents of Aariz Sheikh, an epilepsy patient whose family has been barred from seeing him for the last six month. Not only that, they were not even allowed to enter hospital grounds.

The parents claim that his condition has been made worse by negligence on part of the medical staff including the senior surgeon. Since it now comes from the highest authority, it’ll be fun to see what media circus is pulled off by the parties.

Note: I am NOT anti-Aga Khan as previously insinuated. This news was just too good to pass up.

Yes, Mansoor, even I don’t get the slant of your last line. What ‘fun’???

Sometimes, you get caught up in the excitement of posting too many posts that you fail to compose properly.

My kidney problem was severely affected when i went to AKUH for treatment 12 years ago. After three failed surgical attempts, my parents put and end to it and we had to go else where for the correct surgery. Even my Dada’s case was not handled properly when he had a hip surgery.

However they did it, But atleast they did and the president responded. Wonder what wud you guys do if you guys were in place of that poor kids parents, who are not ven allowed to see their own son.
Everyone just needs a reason to fight.

This is what the “concerned officials” doing:
Aariz’s mother held the Health secretary responsible for not maintaining impartiality on this issue and, instead, being biased in favour of the hospital’s version of the story.

adil and arsalan: the ‘fun’ part of such controversies comes in how they (the concerned parties) handle the spin on their versions of the stories. There will always be two sides (sometime more than two) and in investigations where media plays a major role, how/what/when is revealed makes or breaks the case. Tracking the chronology of these statements, and subsequent events makes for great speculation…

or maybe i just like to see how organizations react when under pressure :p
