Really was astonished to hear Led Zeppelin is a jazz band. Still cute retro event, thanks for the article. Always search the web for cool music jazz mp3 is a site where one can compile perfect playlists. A cushy spot for a music addict!

@Bozz: if you dont have anything nice to say... dont say anything.

sinec music is the topic... has anyone on the kmb heard of Dalt Wisney?

its the side project of sheryar hyatt (son of rohail hyatt of vital signs).. he has a blog and is about to launch his label with his own music. his music is the most alternative stuff currently being made in pakistan at least... very unique and soulful with jazz, eastern, and a little hiphop there too... he also got selected to go to melbourne, australia as part of the red bull music`academy.

check his stuff and music:

www.sheryarhyatt.com
http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/PARTICIPANTS.16.0.html?act_aced=114&profile_id=398

makes me feel proud to know that a pakistani can be so original and creative on an international level.

@ Noc, while yea, Led Zep et. al. are not Jazz bands, music being universal, most of their stuff is open to interpretation. Also, most 70's rock artists were deeply influenced by Blues, Jazz etc.

Too bad I missed it :(

On a totally unrelated note, I did catch Eric Clapton live last month :)

JAZZ EVENT? strange!

Cuz Led zeppelin is a HARD ROCK band, Elvis surely a king of Rock n Roll, Eric Clapton is well known for his BLUES influences. Frank Sinatra is the only JAZZ artist in your mentioned list.

How could a band play/cover Mehdi Hasan(Ghazal),Abida Parween(Sufist), Ahmed Rushdie (Hiphop/disco),Vital signs(pop/rock) and Arif Lohar(Folk)perfectly.

Those artists who performed at Deja Vu including Jason (Aroah's drummer) are LEGEND. LOL
