More sushi in Karachi

So there’s this new Japanese restaurant in Karachi (26th street near Biryani Centre) that’s been opened for a while, but has not been officially launched. The nigiri was fresh; the tuna sashimi was thicker than it should have been; the miso soup was spot on; and the breaded prawns were to die for. The decor was a bit bland – it seemed like they were going for understated elegance, but missed by a fair bit. This being Japanese it was pricy – approx. 1,500 per person, but, to be fair, we did stuff ourselves silly.

I definitely preferred this place to the oppressively elitist Sakura and the dreary Fujiyama. What’s its name? I’ve misplaced the manager’s card and wouldn’t dare try and spell Japanese here. Go there and find out – it’s definitely worth a visit.

ahh well Cy, how is Sakura elitist. This place does seem to be giving it competition in terms of pricing.

Ideally, id like to seem some nice sushi bars opening in the city with affordable japanese food that doesnt require donating ones tes***le. Is that too much to ask? Its a concept thats worked well in every major city that I know of but hasnt hit our sides yet.

Also it is kind of sad to note that between this place with its 1500/- average and neighbouring Biryani center with its 60/- double, most people would genuinely prefer the latter, including myself probably.

Is this in Zamzama, Clifton, Defense? where is this place?
Also where are those other two japanese places.
if you dont like the selection of food go start your own restaurant. that is the only solution out here.

Nargisi koftey bikhar rahey hain aur pulao thanda ho rahaa hai….uss khabees ko aik dafa aawaaz dey kay dekh lo warna hum shuru kartey hain…..aur haan azan shuru hooney kay baad aawaaz deyna kahein aa hee na jaay…..??

I remember in an episode of my favorite tv show JAG….cj bought an expensive diamond ring for his betrothed….which she accidentally found to be a FAKE….obviously the Admiral was embarrassed….he investigated the matter himself and found out that it was an inside job…..
well in my personal opinion diamond is a very delicate stone not many people can handle it with ease and comfort…..thanks for trying….!

And i will always love you……
