http://karachi.metblogs.com/archives/images/2007/03/mb/speak-thumb.jpg Karachi Bar Association in their protest against the cruel murder of Judicial norms yesterday has decided to close all 116 courts on emergency basis. Around 500 lawyers along with Bar president & General Secretary closed down the city court complex & its been locked now.

Few decide to put black/white band today in protest. A colleague got his desktop full black with ” I protest ” written prominently. Our readers D0ctor & Ramla were open in their intentions in first post.
” I am protesting this more by wearing a white band on my arm. I don’t care who cares, but it tells me that I care. “ she said.

An interesting situation developed on GEO yesterday when The News bureau chief Ansar Abbasi presented documents showing transfer files of CJ Son with signatures from gov. officials themselves, including IG leading towards PM & accused that this all may well be framed as the gov. even doesn’t have proof if CJ tried to apply pressure. Also, he informed viewer that Naeem Bukhari had said Ansar Abbasi was called to SC and degraded by the CJ whereas he was never called to SC or degraded/insulted by the CJ.

Was it for this day about which Adil Najam said on ARY ONE WORLD once :

” I am not looking for next Quaid-e-Azam ,

I am looking for next Faiz “

Since yesterday this has been the topic everywhere in Karachi. Even my driver had his version of story. People were pissed off at the way it was done. As one commented an excellent point on TV yesterday on whether there is any hope.

” Justice should not only be done. justice needs to be seen to be done “

Few personal friends/colleagues of Mr. Naeem Bukhari have given quite negative remarks at Teeth Maestro’s blog. Interestingly they all tend to see him differently until yesterday. Who else’s blog is flooded with comments?

Funny how The News has succumbed to government pressure in one day

umm..did jang group ever go against ruling govt? Offcourse not and this is the reason behind their success. Once they tried to play with Nawaz shareef but then Nawaz made their life hell and they were begging for papers for printing. Jang will never go against any ruling govt.
