o.k :) i hope that qurat has her answer now about why all art in pakistan asides from caligraphy/nature scenes is by its nature a political act.
I appreciate the fact that you two probably dont go to these festivals but i guess people who go or who want to be free go should acknowledge ther huge debt to the left. And if the leftists didnt keep vocalising their position as i said that would be the end of art (except caligraphy and nature scenes :)) in pakistan.

Yes, indeed it is Kufr, Adnan is right. Do u know ‘art’ is some thing different e.g. painting of natural scenes is an art. Caligraphy is an art.

Ash, the problem with your tribe that at one side you guys want to satisfy your fantasies while on other hand you guys seek shelter in a religion which is a pathetic act.

Offcourse dance,music etc is not allowed in Islam so is painting of living things. You or anyone is free to do whatever you want after all you are free but offcourse you guys are NOT free to associate personal fantasies with Islam/any religion and says “It’s not against a religion”. Why do you look towards religion for your own acts?
Art is not music dance,sketching living souls only[which is banned in all abrahamic faiths]. I hope you are not making a point that “IN Islam art is haram”?

wow! after freedom,equal rights, “Art” has also been credited in account of lefts. Intresting very intresting :-). I really didn’t know that Art=Music+dance+masti. Equation could be so simple, I was really not aware at all *grin*

I don’t know why iFaqeer took name of Umer but today he’s in MQM govt. *nuff said*. NGOs[majority] also use tool of charity to fill their own accounts.

it would be nice for art to be apolitical but in a country where dance/song/performance is labelled kufar in a very political sense doing anything like this is automatically political, and if the left didnt vocalise its beliefs there would very soon be no art left in any shape or form.
