I beleive extremism towards both end is not fair, forcing somebody to follow the principle of Islam is also against the spirit of Islam.
I know these ppl why they are worried, its because they dont want to get implement the islamic shariah in the country plus they will lose their political influence also if all the ppl will start getting involved more into religion.
Women should be allowed to wear burqa and its a good thing being living in muslim country they should have freedom to do so nobody should criticize on it, at the same time nobody should even force them to wear it.
Islamic shariah doesnt restricts women from getting modern and scientific education, a true muslim doesnt throws acid on women for not doing so nor even Islam teach us to do so, so its all bullshit what they are saying.

People are just making lame excuses against islamic culture and activities and wants to get involve more into western culture and bollywood movies and all crap stuffs.
Most of our political mullahs are just currupt and are interested into money and power but that doesnt mean that we being a muslim nation go against islamic education, allow individuals to do whatever evil deeds he has to enjoy.
We should not allow extremist (secular or religious) people to govern our country.

MQM has nothing better to do as they r enjoying being in the 2% community which they always used to criticize in past. Jama-e-Hafsa issue has given them something to be on roads again. Isnt it the same party which asked (read forced) the youngsters to sell their books for AK 47?

Are Women ready to wear bikini?
Are Women ready to let their family members kidnapped by agencies?
    Do you consider bhatta legal?
Are you ready to be deprive of basic right of education by non deserving student of political party?
Are you ready for stick and klashinkov welding occupation of all state institution?
Are you ready to be robbed by street criminals?
If NO dont support the MQM
In 4 years of federal, provincial and city government, street crimes continue unabashed. Worst electricity crisis are proof of their incompetence.

Still, did people rally when 81 innocent people were killed in Bajur? Wasn’t that extremism as well? What about countless other murders….
What about HAQ PARAST extremism?? Drilling holes and cutting off human beings??

Can we not blame MQM for all thts wrong in Khi. Have a look at all thts good and you will see MQM behind tht too.

Just answer me this, which other party has ever done anything for Khi? donot say the Mullahs, they have done more harm then good.

As a “Citizen of Karachi”, I say, Rock on! This is good. Also, don’t be simplistic and say: Oh well if it isnt compulsory to wear a shuttle cock burqa, then a bikni is the order of the day. The point is: choice is good. Let people decide. Don’t force your narrowminded take on religion down our throats, bloody stick wielding ninja turtles of lal masjid.

To MQM, the group, I say: F*uck Off!

a friend of mine working at PTCL says that MQM labour wing has ordered all of us to show up at the rally, according to him a rollcall would be conducted at the venue and action would be taken against those who are not present….(same thing happened at all the recent Musharraf rallies where govt departments conducted rollcall and took action against officials who were not present at the stage managed event… but here in karachi the tension is double for govt department workers… if you don’t show then your department will take action plus MQM’s thugs from labour wing will single you out as well )

  12. d0ct0r (unregistered) on April 14th, 2007 @ 12:06 am

its a sunday and they’ve asked govt officials to show up… in past they had been doing that on working days and innocent general public use to make hue and cry when they went to these govt departments and find these officials missing from their duties..
now MQM selected a sunday so that nobody could make it a issue that govt officials are missing from their duties and attending MQM’s rally..

my friend told me that there are ” Jewish Secret Agents(women) working in Pakistan wearing burga ”

these women are specially trained they walk on our streets without a care… because we will think that they are burga poosh but actually they are foreign agents.

not all women are like that but this news is credible that Secret agents are freely walking on pakistani streets in burga.

can any one do any thing about that ? I dont know

as far as these mullahs are concerned I would say these mullahs are “Air-Condition Mullahs ” who only see islam as — who ever has beard and burga is islamic every body else is non-muslim –.

lets Test these mullahs— hey Mr. Mullah why don’t you go to Africa and help fellow muslim brothers who are dying because they do not have any food or water..

these people in africa have to walk MILES just to get drinking water from a UN camp…

But you can not expect this from these mullahs because their bellys are fat and full with the roasted chicken and charghas….

these mullahs betrayed Quaid-e-Azam and called him Kafir-e-Azam

these mullahs called Allama Iqbal a kafir..

these mullahs were against Pakistan movement …
these mullahs called Sir Syed Ahmed Khan a kafir… when he opened Aligarh university …well if there is Pakistan today… it is because of Aligarh University….
these mullahs have no vision… are closed minded…are ego centric…. and their only version of islam is when they are in power….

these mullahs were fed by US Dollars by CIA and Secret Jewish Agency to overthrow Zulfikar Ali Bhutto… who made Pakistan a Leader of the muslim world…. who actually made Pakistan the only muslim nuclear power of the world…who started Pak-China friendship… who started Pak-russia friendship( steelmill )…

THIS IS REAL DEMOCRACY….this doesnt mean we dont have problems… we have problems like any other nation like developed nations like any one… and we will face them accordingly…

now thank God… USA has become the biggest beggar of the world… thanks to CHINA…China is feeding US economy and consumers for FREE….

China is already a Super Power…. China is no. 1 in foreign Reserves….China’s foreign reserves are close to 2 Trillion Dollars(actual figure could be higher)–

China is spending more than any other country of the world on R & D (RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT)…

all these mullahs know is to destroy what is left of pakistan… to burn shops… to destroy ordinary man’s job and business….

our bloved Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H. used to wear stones on his belly because he didn’t have food for 2 or 3 days….and worked whole day in desert heat along with his sahabas…. can these so called Air-Conditioned mullahs do the same…. before becoming a tool in Jewish hands….

these mullahs have no religion ….. their religion is their own ego…. which jewish secret agents know how to fullfill….

Jewish Secret Agents are working actively in our mullah faction…. their male agents have beards and their women agents almost all the time wear burgas….

may Allah save us from these Conspirators….

But remember fellow Pakistanis God help those who help themselves….

Don’t Trust any one…. Don’t believe what you hear

Trust yourself only… Trust your own judgement…

..specially dont trust TV channels.. because some of the private pakistani channels are using Jewish $$$ and sub-conciously programing pakistani viewers…

keep learning and getting more education every day… and if you get 5 minutes in your whole day… just think little bit about your country and how you like your Pakistan to be… it may not change any thing… but it will certainly broaden your thinking… specially when Pakistan is maligned on every international media channel… website…newspaper…

    why ???

because Pakistan is the only country of the world created on an IDEAL by the ordinary people of Sub-continent…

we do have challenges… we have problems and we will overcome these problems… remember we are Young and Dynamic Country only 60 years old… other so called western countries spend hundreds of years in trumoil, war like situations…

Women were not allowed to vote in USA untill 1940s
Blacks were hanged publicly and were tied by the cars and were toed on the road until death…upto 1950s…

this is USA untill 1950s…. so called leader of democracy …. their democracy is nothing but a shameful lable for their own selfish desires….

USA has become a slave to Jewish lobby… and is rapidly becoming a failed state…

Pakistan must distance it self from the sinking Titanic of USA as soon as possible…

and Look towards Asia, china, russia, as these countries are rapidly growing…. and they will not wait for Pakistan to join them… they will move on … we must hurry to catch up with them…

  19. shakil (unregistered) on April 14th, 2007 @ 8:29 pm

Shame shame. People don’t want Islam in their lives. One should be taught about Islamic rule (Khilafah). See what Shariat law has done to Makkah and Madina. The people, there, can leave their homes open (as hands of thieves are cut).

Also Shariat law, wouldn’t enforce anything inside homes but only outside it (i.e. you can indeed do sin but not openly)

There is a serious lack of knowledge about Islam in our lives.

  20. shakil (unregistered) on April 14th, 2007 @ 8:41 pm

People don’t know but khilafah (Shariat law) is a part of Islam and it is the duty of every Muslim to implement it.

Every practicing Muslim know that seeing sin can also effect you and it becomes difficult to refrain from sin.

There is nothing like freedom anywhere in this world. Even in America, women are not allowed to go outside without wearing clothes.

My top 5 reasons NOT to attend the rally:

    1. Women should stay inside, cook food, and raise kids. Basically I am a narrow minded person.

    2. I can’t support any initiative taken by MQM even if it is for a good cause. I am stuck up and arrogant.

    3. What will say people if I show up? It’s my ego stupid otherwise I would be a MAQOOL aadmi :)

    4. I will rather take my favorite afternoon nap. Guess what, I am KAAHIL :)

    5. The world won’t change, it will still be a gloomy place. I am a NAKAAM ASHIQ and a big preacher of pessimism.

  23. ash (unregistered) on April 14th, 2007 @ 11:26 pm

    lol at salman…..5 more reasons

    1. I hate Mush so much that i must hate all signs of “enlightenment” since he used the word

    2. I hate america/the west so much that i must hate the idea of equality because they believe in it

    3. I hate the MQM because unlike every other political party in Pakistan they have goonda’s …baqui sub doodh main dhoolay hooey

    4. I hate “westernized” pakistanis so much that if they are against forced beards/burkhas then i am certainly going to be pro it

    5. I always look bad in pictures therefore pictures must be bad and noone should be allowed to have any

  24. Red_Munk!! (unregistered) on April 15th, 2007 @ 2:43 am

@ Daal — chawal –WOW!!, i hope u were being sarcasitc in most of those points, otherwise, how’s that bursted vein in ure brain??

Shame on all of you munafiqs for questioning the Quaid-e-Tahriks motives.

I for one will be going and showing support for the free Biryani’s!! :P

On a serious note, lets not harp on how much we hate MQM, these “Mullah” are in the same league.

Islam teaches tolerance. Jewish ppl also follow God’s teachings & this is according to our Quran, before you target an entire race/religion, remember where youre coming from.

The Mullah’s are all wahabi’s (sorry if any one takes offense, but hear me out first)– the most rigid of our sects.

If you look at Islamic history & especially the Sub Continent, the religion has been spread by Sufi’s who have always acheived Mass-Conversions by spreading the message of Love, Peace & acceptance.

Even today there are hundreds of thousands of Alims spreading the word of God without totting AK’s or involved in politics.

They teach the Quran as it is & not ‘mix & match’ words that suit their agenda on the day.

They harp so much about Shariah, but tell me this

    1) Any Islamic law to be implented has to be done by Ijma & Qiyas (discussion — in other words Democratically). Only Quranic law & Hadis straight from the Prophet (S.A.W) (Im sorry i do not remember the exact term for this), remain unchanged, otherwise the laws are changed according to the time & society. (Eg: No where is Alcohol dissallowed. Alcohol was dissalowed by Hazarat Umar (R.A) after folks came under its influence & missed on their prayers & other duties).

    2) A Mosque is considered a “House of God” & may not be demolished as it is a place of peace & provides sanctuary. But, it is also said that put up Mosques according to the need of the area. No where does the Quran allow “Kabza’s” or building of new Mosques in area’s where exsisting Mosques are already adequate.

    3) Sucide is strictly prohibited in Islam. It is the “easy way out” and a person is not only considered a coward by society but also supposed to be confined to hell & NOT entitled x amount of virgins.

I was listning to Prof Israr, & according to his research, the only time one can commit suicide is when your religion is under extreme threat & there is NO OTHER way possible.

If commiting suicide was effective/acceptable, dont you think the Ambiaa’s would have done it during the Ghazwa’s when Muslims were outnumbered, usually 10:1 ?.

    4) (Movies &) Pictures/Sketches of Prophets are not allowed in Islam & for good reason.

To make sure ppl do not start Idol worshiping.

(Again no offense to anyone), look at Christianity, Some consider Jesus as the son of God & pray to a figure instead of asking God.

But Islam has always encouraged learning “Ilim hasil karo, chahe tumhe cheen jana pare”. Right?
There were always Maps, Paintings and Caligraphy in Islam. & this was some 1400+ years ago.

Look at technology today, again the point of Ijma comes in.

As for the point of pr0N or other forms of “Bighairti”, thats upto human minds. You can watch Islamic lectures, A documentary on thermal dynamics or smut. Thats human choice.

God has given us the power of choice & if He, the Supreme being does not put restrictions, who are we?

The only good this does is for these teachers of their own brand of fundementalist Islam as if the Ummah are uneducated, they will only be “Yes-Men” and never challenge even the most outrageous decree.

    5) & just cause everyone seems to burn up w/e the question of the Burqa comes,

Usually its a personal choice, but in our present society its becoming a necessity. I even make my girlfriend wear it when going to crowded places such as Saddar.

Apni Izzat apne haath mein hoti hai & jis kisam ki hamari jahil koum hai, They even harass women in Abaya’s & burqa’s. Girls without them get their dupatta’s pulled & degraded by obsenities & shamefull comments.

If the ppl were educated enough to diffrentiate b/w good & evil & not listen to w/e the political party mullah says, OR respected women as they would their mothers & sisters, we would not have this problem.

Religion is a personal thing & a girl in a bikini might be 5 waqt ki namazi. Wearing a bikini is her personal choice. None of our Gawd damn business.

The Prophet (P.B.U.H) did not set a dress code for His followers.
The only reason they wore a “Jubbah” is because of the Climate and the times they were living in.

“Amal ka daro madaad niyat par hai” – The first Hadith.

Donning a pair of jeans and a Tee-Shirt does not make you a Mosad agent.

Oh & btw, next time some “Mullah” tells you about Jihad, ask him how many types of Jihad there are.

11 or 13 (Im not exactly sure, sorry again–im sure someone will correct me)— The fighting jihad is around # 7 on the list.

The # 1 being “Jihad-e-Nafs”. Man fighting his own evil thoughts & overcoming his weaknesses.

How many of us actually follow that?

I succumb to it multiple times a day, from eating maybe more than i should, wasting water when it is supposed to be a sin or even hurting someone unintentionally by something that I might have said.

All my sisters who were being made to “protest” by the honcho’s of Lal Masjid, ask your teachers where they were when multiple villages from Rawat to Chakwal & everywhere else have been converted by the Christian Missions?

Why is it that kids are forced to learn the Quran like parrots, but unfortunately most of them cannot even tell you a basic translation of Alhumd Sharif, let alone the Tafseer.

Lets all do some soul searching before taking the suciadal way out of pointing fingers and slinging mud/bullets on one another.

apologies for the excruciatingly long post & w/e errors there might have been. Please rest assured that if any, they were in no ways intentional or meant to put anyone down in anyways. Oh & please do not bring secretarian bashing into this like the Online graveyard post.

Live and let live in peace, that is Islam.

The madness that seems to be rapidly engulfing our beloved country at the rate of knots boils down to one thing: The refusal by a particular group of people to accept that the majority of people in Pakistan have no desire to live under the code of conduct that this group has deemed fit for all of us to follow unquestioningly and unfailingly.

I hear the arguments for building Madressahs: after all they provide free food and lodging and a free education of sorts to kids who otherwise would not stand a chance in our highly unequal society. Some Madressahs are doing quite a decent job of it, but the majority have sadly become nothing more then breeding grounds for intolerance and extremism.

In the name of imposing their version of Sharia law, these people conveniently forget that Sharia has been interpreted in many different ways by many different scholars in many different Muslim countries. The kind of Sharia law these guys wish to impose upon us would be laughed out of court in the rest of the Islamic world. Even the respeced Al Azhar University of Cairo, the world’s leading authority in Islamic jurispridence, has condemned the antics of these self appointed guardians of Sharia, and some Egyptian scholars have gone as far as calling these people “heretics” who are giving Islam a bad name.

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, in his most recent address to the Saudi Consultative council (Shur’a) stressed upon all Muslims the need for tolerance within the Islamic world and reminded everyone of the catastrophic consequences of sectarianism and internecine bloodletting that was being incited by the extremists in our midst.

To these people i simply put this question: how come you find so much money to build all these Madressahs, often on land acquired illegally and by force, and have at your diposal more weaponry then most modern armies, and yet not you have not cared to build one specialist teaching hospital or a world class institute of technology, or a university that would provide leaders for our next generation? people that would truly show the rest of the world what hidden talents there are amongst the Muslim youth? I tell you why. Because if you did that, people would become too enlightened for your own liking, something Islam has expressly ordered us to do, and they would reject the barbaric values that you guys stand for. You dont want that do you? No, because it doesnt suit your agenda of creating violence and mayhem in the name of our beloved faith.

And remember also: Allah (SWT) made incumbent upon us two things: “Huqooq Ullah” and “Huqooq Ul Ibad”. And Allah (SWT) has made it expressly clear that whilst He may forgive you, in His compassion and mercy, for any aberrations that you may commit in your duties towards Him, He will not and cannot forgive you if you violate the rights of your fellow human being. So before you go round with your dundas and your Kalashnikovs forcing people to kowtow to your version of Sharia, go back to your Madressahs and ask Allah (SWT) for His forgiveness for all the crimes that you have committed and continue to commit against your fellow human beings. May Allah (SWT) have mercy upon us all. (Amin)

“Some Madressahs are doing quite a decent job of it, but the majority have sadly become nothing more then breeding grounds for intolerance and extremism.”,

Sorry, but i disagree. Its the minority who are into extremisist activities (w/e the kind).

Problem is the good deeds dont sell News papers or Tv & so have no room in/on em.

Say something outta Norm & ure face is plastered all over.

& as Wasiq said, bechari bachiyoun ka kya kusoor? They are being used as tools to forward someone else’s agenda’s.

Ulta the great leaders of the country have given them space for additional 7 Mosque’s/Madrassahs.

If they continue to preach what they have demonstrated, that cannot be a good thing.
