Work in progress is how it looks like on I. I. Chundrigar road these days. Don’t know how long it will take to return to sanity.

Its a pain, but they badly needed to put in improvements on that road.

Remember Mai Kolachi a couple of months back, it was a total mess & dint look like they will ever finish it. Its a pleasure to drive on it once again.

Hopefully they wont take as long on IIC as well & go on improving the road all the way to the port.

(There are quite a few “craters” developing all along the road from Bahria college to West Wharf road & beyond).

I was there on I. I. Chundrigar road barely a week back, I definitely saw the construction but what I saw was a different picture.

I simply loved the serenity provided by the traffic free area – and wished that they would make this area limited to pedestrians only right in the heart of the financial district. It will serve well for the environment plus all the busy business managers will get to squeeze in a little more of much needed exercise

    I propose a traffic-free, walking-only I. I. Chundrigar any support?

Totally, but that would need atleast one building to be converted into a parking lot.

With the price of real state, and the maturity of that area, Can it happen?

There cant be 0 traffic, but if everything kept moving & one could find parking there. AWSOME!

i have seen executives/CEOs parking their 7 series BMWs/Mercs in front of Bilquis Edhi Foundation plot and walking all the way to their offices… i guess sooner or later we’ll have to do that like they did in central London to reduce traffic load… sooner we get a better mass transit system/light rail system the better… i would be the first one to quit driving during the working days…

when A/C CNG green busses were introduced back in Naimatullah Khan’s time , i used them for short period before the tranport mafia forced the swedish company to wind up and quit…..
