Rally pictures

Tabraiz sent us this link to a pictorial representation of how the rally went. That’s a classic example of a picture being worth a thousand words.

That’s SOME crowd.

And please no one say tht everyone sitting there had been bought there on gun point. That would just be stupid.

MQM rallies are always like that..whats new?. Definitely karachi ppl repeatedly elect them and continue to suffer!
Most of Karachi citizen have no idea what a respectable life mean .. No electricity, high street crime, no transport system, no health system. Now you cant blame “sabika” government, they got plenty of time to plan and implement…but they havent and they wont..
I wish Karachi ppl can guess the luxurious life led by Altaf bhai..

A sea of people, by quaid e azams mazar and yet I couldnt see a 1 pakistani flag in that crowd.

  6. PatExpat (unregistered) on April 16th, 2007 @ 10:34 pm

What I am surprised at that Altaf Hussain didn’t ask the maulvis whether he should stay abroad in self imposed luxurious lifestyle or come back and face the charges.

He should have also asked them for an edict which allows us to have murderers as governors of the province and other criminals as people representative.

Or how about that he asks them to pray for forgiveness of his sins which resulted in murders of various MQM workers and others whom have exiled to UK, South Africa etc and his murders of Azeem ahmed Tariq, Khalid Bin Waleed, Hakim Saeed, Mufti Mehmood Shamzai, last year’s 12th Rabi ul Awwal Massacre etc.

But hey, since we made few underpasses, roads and parks this year, all his former sins and crimes are forgotten.

well i personally saw mazda trucks being loaded with
crates of chilled tetra pack(250 ml) juice/milk and dispatched to the rally along with MQM supporters…
dunno about the biryanis being served there at the venue but atleast they were served with chilled juices/milk… as for the crowd… entertainment starved karachiites love Altaf’s acting and performance and his (demonic voice) .. and all the other celebrity that he had gathered to compliment his performance…

everyone has to respect those people’s choice … and please don’t try to impose your thinking/choice on others……… if the party is doing somehting positive appreciate it rather than carrying on the non stop negative critisism

Bittertruth, RED MUnK,Patexpat & doctor,You guys are so PATHETIC?Do not behave like MULLAH’S who can not see the TRUTH.This is called an Organised MQM. Even if there was food or drinks whats the BIG DEAL?They definetly take care of there people or Supporter?Right. You girls should have atleast appreciated the People who were there. 3% people can not decide how to Govern.

  10. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on April 16th, 2007 @ 11:15 pm

The question is, did Altaf supporter “Khatoon Concerned” or others attend the rally? if No then I would like to know the answer. If I am being pro XYZ and don’t bother to say “Labbaik” to my Quaid’s call then I am a hypocrite and disloyal to my Leader.

As far as “lots of people” are concerned, I bet that Benazir could gather entire “Garhi Khuda Bakhs” on her return. Shaikh Rasheed have ability to call entire Rawalpindi while Nawaz shareef can call entire Raiwind for his support but these people are disliked by many Pakistanis including those who are supporting MQM today. So whether it’s Altaf or Allah Ditta,as long as he’s synch with anti-religon stuff then he’s adorable otherwise he’s worthless.

Kumail noticed well, Sadly as well Ironically we see no flag of Pakistan and we genuine mohajirs know the reason behind it.

These pictures are the true representation of illetrate Pakistan, whether they are fooled by Altaf or Nawaz or Benazir, they will be keep getting screwed, this is why God said in Quran that He doesn’t help those who don’t help themselves.

I am glad to see pics of Salma and Saud as MQM members. I would be more glad if that Heeejra Begum Nawazish becomes ChairMan of Rabta Comittie before election.

By the way,did the author of the post attend the rally? What does he think about it? just wondering!

@ADNAN Siddiqi, What you are trying to say? does not make any sense. No one is asking for you to attend. But people who are writting against the mammoth Rally should see The truth and face the Truth. If you want to join Begum Nawazis Party he/she will make you the Chairman of the First GAY party in Pakistan Then YOU can wave PAKISTAN FLAG.

A Political Party mobilising thousands of people screaming against extremism, and voicing against what they feel is wrong. – And here we have a bunch of no-good yappers spitting crap. If you cant do nothing, might as well keep your gobs shut.

When the whole Karachi was under the strife of civil war during 90’s, the rest of the country was scilent, or emitting shit like you all are. Join in or Keep shut!

  15. KhiTorPit (unregistered) on April 17th, 2007 @ 1:08 am

I didnt understand the reason behind this protest.
It was against the kalashinkof culture?? but the public (all political party’s tattoos) already have loads of arms and ammunation with them.
Or the public is worried about closing the filthy dhanda going on ? or we dont want to close our tvs, cds and dvd shops ?

If it is against the illegal occupation of the madrassa in Isb, then I would say that in Khi soo many haramkhor ppl occupies the places illegally, one apt. is being sold to more then one, ppl occupies others land if that remains vacant for long time, nobody criticize about that at all ? what if that madrassa is being occupied for good reason ? So this protest was against the Madrassa ?? Not at all, nobody can smell politics behind it. I know occupation for any reason is not valid but thats the only thing which they wants to protest on ? Or its the islamic shariah for which they are worried upon ?
Becharay Karachi walay hamesha hi bewakoof bantay hain.

WB PKHAN, we all missed ure childish reasoning & absurd justifications :).

None of are supporting the “Mullahs”.

To “You girls should have atleast appreciated ”

Haha, ure a sexist too? Figures.

All those ppl harping abt 2%-3%. LOL!!, Really!?

2-3% Really?. LOL!( Do not open up a pandoras box kiddo).

@ Adnan: Spot on as usual. All of em are Twats, @least PPP runs on a National front. (Not being Pro PPP, but Abba Ji & co always lived in their own fantasy land).

Ali Saleem sickens me to no end, but please take advice to this.

Allah har ghari sun raha hota hai, aur aap sab ke bhi bache hone hain.

Exploiting it for commercial gains maybe sick, but there are ppl who are born that way & cannot do anything about it & we have absolutely no right to make fun of it–

(Btw, wtf is Rabata com? I remember back in the 90’s they came up with some crap called “Peace commite”. All they did was go around collecting bhatta from poor shop keepers).

  17. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on April 17th, 2007 @ 1:52 am

@RM: I was not cursing genuine one. I was specially targetting the corssdresseor.

Central Coordination Committee is called Rabta Committee. Sorry I don’t remember what was it used to be called at the time of Azeem Tariq but according to new hierarchy it’s a psuedo front-end of MQM org to tell the world that all decisons are done by party members rather by Altaf Hussain only. If I am not mistaken, the Bhatta system was not present or atleast not a habit at the time of Azeem Tariq. Infact Azeem Tariq was killed due to differences between him and MQM’s policies by newly joined workers of that time who tried to misuse the mass influence by introducing Bombay’s Underworld don system.

p.s: YoYO, where have you been my ancient associate? I think I did ask same question somwhere on this forum but forgot the actual post. sorry if repetition makes you irritated

  21. BitterTruth (unregistered) on April 17th, 2007 @ 5:15 am

MQM against Kalashnikov culture is a joke in itself.
MQM is an organized party, there is no doubt about that. The pattern of organization is strikingly similar to underworld network of “Dawood” in bombay.
Areas are divided as sectors and sector incharge is responsible for the area. MQM has links with underworld as revealed by Dawn, (see dawn front page on conflict details).
But there are good points about MQM. When you face some problem at neighbourhood level, MQM guys does support the deserving party if there is no other factor involved. They help you get your things done. That is the attraction for the people, but under the hood, the system is demolished. MQM members are powerful than police and every other institution.

  22. Zami (unregistered) on April 17th, 2007 @ 7:46 am

At least some good show of work by MQM at the right moment to show tolerance towards religious extremism!

Mohajir/MQM bashing is a trend at KMB by the so-called mostly “non-mohajir” Karachites!!!

Love him or hate him, he has this unmathced capability to gather millions to march on the streets of Karachi. We see the same pattern during elections where his nominated guys always win the contest with record votes. I have heard people say that even his nominated KUTTA can get more votes than a human being., :))))

Are Karachiites stupid? I am no one to judge that but yes, MQM rocks either by hook or by crook.

  25. ash (unregistered) on April 17th, 2007 @ 10:56 am

hmmm let me get this straight…mush cant speak out about extremism because he is a dictator …democratically elected mqm cant speak up either because they offer food and drinks so apparently only the lal mosque thugs are allowed to hold an opinion according to many people on this blog. Why dont you guys hold a rally and see if anyone cares half as much about what you think IN KARACHI!

  26. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on April 17th, 2007 @ 11:15 am

Zami, I can understand why are you surprised. Please do understand that we mohajirs were not used to live under army supervision where you are not allowed to speak against leadership. It’s lame accusation that people who are against Altaf are non-MOhajirs. It looks like you don’t live in Karachi. Come in areas like Nazimabad,North Nazimabad and FB area who were hub of urdu speaking people. Unlike you, I have personally met MQM activist who were very active in early and mid 90s. Ask them about the doctrine of Altaf Hussain, ask them why people like Azeem Tariq become against Altaf. The very recent example of MQM’s fascism is a movement against Dr.Amir Liaquat. Musharraf who adores Dr.Amir due to his religious affiliation tried to use against Altaf and tried to bring him up in parallel of Altaf. The MQM london office heard about the sazish and all activisits were order to chalk all walls with sirf altaf or Only Altaf and after 2 weeks or so Amir Liaquat was in London and was taking “Bayt” on Altaf’shand that he would be always loyal with him. Every wonder why TV programs like “4 men show” and “Hum Sab umeed se hain” don’t make fun of Altaf Bhai? ask them and they would tell the reason behing it. A party which considers a leader more than a God is not worthy enough for me. You people who rather spend more times in your chilled bedrooms don’t sound good when you criticize others without knowing the facts. Guess what? my family knew Afzal anwar and his family so you could figure out that not every MQM oponent is not non-Mohajir. When Altaf did good,he was supported but when he came out of his pajama, majority of learned class left him all alone and now residue of Karachi supporting him. Good for us as it helped us to make difference between genuine and fake mohajir supporters. MQM couldn’t even suspend the Quota system from karachi neither they were able to call MEHSOOREEN of Bangal back to Karachi. How can they be trusted when they can’t even fulfill their own promises. Atleast serious urdu speaking people don’t support them anymore.

Though i had to suffer myself on Shahra-e-Faisal on that day because of it but anyways, it could be same for any stupid religious rally or celebration too.

What i am doing here now is basically a list of important questions asked about yesterday’s rally about which no on replied a proper response but instead talked around & near it and bring up other issues & personal hits.

Few fellows brought up the word “SEE THE TRUTH” too often. Here are some questions if any one has any answers. They were asked earlier too but no proper replies. Usually personal attacks and answer LEFT RIGHT UP and DOWN to what was asked in center.

    1.
Does bringing up people in large numbers really show the TRUTH or we have to understand the other variables in whole equation? And so can Hamaas,Qazi & Sheikh Rashid. And so can Benazir & Bugti. And so can Osama Bin Laden.

Saddam Hussain used to have rallies in 80’s of similar nature (from CNN). Even the mass murdered Muqtada-Al Sadr can bring people on streets. So what you guys make out of it ?That he is welcomed by all, that he is an angel, that its THE TRUTH ?

Nawaz in 1993-4 had a julsa which had according to papers ( & not PML ) around 60+ thousand people in it. So it means its the truth ?? right ? the people love him etc…. right.

    2. If it was against the kalashinkov culture, was it not suppose to be PAKi flags there ?? No i am not saying there is anything wrong with these flags but having a PAKI flag means a lot different than a particular flag.

    3.
If my memory serves me right, the religious zealots & this party were the first one to sign the landmark agreement to use klashinkov on each other in Karachi. With the stats of 90’s a historic proof against Altaf bhai ( & the famous jo quaid ka gaddar hai slogan decorated all over the karachi). Does it look beautiful on these people when they talk about rejection of KK culture ?

    4.
Who introduced the concept of gang ? or bhatta ? or ghunda mafia or sector stuff ?

    5.
If klashinkov culture is the reason this rally was for then what the guy with 7 FIR’s against him in murder cases is doing in Governor house ?

    6.
    from KHITROPIT
“If it is against the illegal occupation of the madrassa in Isb, then I would say that in Khi soo many haramkhor ppl occupies the places illegally, one apt. is being sold to more then one, ppl occupies others land if that remains vacant for long time, nobody criticize about that at all ? “

And rephrasing his last line i ask why noting was/is being done about it ?? And the HILL PARK land scam is a good example about the intentions of people at power.

It was necessary then to repeat what AS said here,

“These pictures are the true representation of illetrate Pakistan, whether they are fooled by Altaf or Nawaz or Benazir, they will be keep getting screwed, this is why God said in Quran that He doesn’t help those who don’t help themselves.”

Do people understand that none of the current lot is capable to deliver. Will you ever test a machine again and again and change models ( PML,PPP,MQM,MMA etc) ??

Can anyone bring one landmark achievement of their for our nation ?? This column may be off the topic but gives you the central idea of all above questions http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=2007%5C03%5C11%5Cstory_11-3-2007_pg3_4

Ironically the MQM has the best and blind support of karachi people but i wonder if they ever able to use it for good.

Probably new leadership ( MUSTAFA KAMAL may be the one) will be able to change its way of functioning from the bhatta’s & gangs or the illegal land grabbing or removing opponents etc.
