Faux scare?

Who here knows the story behind the ABN Amro fiasco today? Driving home in the afternoon while crossing Marriott Hotel I saw hundreds of ABN employees out on the street, loitering around or sitting on the footpath. When asked, this one guy shrugged and replied “dehshut gard” oh-so-casually. What happened?

yeah….its standard bomb and fire drill…..and one never finds out if it was a drill or a real evacuation about 2 hours or so after the exercise….

It would either be an evacuation drill or a bomb scare. Both occur pretty frequently at ABN. There have been many instances where somebody calls up the phone banking and says there’s a bomb in the building, thus everyone evacuates. A true example of how much time peole on their hands for such calls, causing business interuption.
