Park Towers elevator falls?

I just heard that the elevator in Park Towers fell yesterday. Didn’t get time to watch TV, but I heard it has been reported on the news. Anyone have the details?

Sorry for OT post but why PROCOM2007 was not mentioned on KMB despite of I personally informed few KMB authors via email? I confirmed a Fastian and this even is being held in Karachi as well.

It seems KMB covers all the events related to arts only not others.

Probably cause of your pop-up blocker.

Try opening it in a new window (Center click or R-Click & open in new window).

    I really marvel at MB’s comment, i.e.
‘Thats right, I heard it too. I hope nothing bad comes out of it’

Nothing bad comes out of it! Isn’t this bad enough? :)

Aight, i passed PT earlier, stopped to ask the guards @ the front door, they go

“Sir sara bakwaas hai, kal raat ko lift op nahi tha, loog ziyada char gai lift mein aur over-wheight ho gai. Upar jate hue Jhatka laga aur sab ne chilana churu kar diya. Koi injur winjur nahi hua, bila waja sab ne drama bana liya hai. Aap check kar sakte hai, dono lifts sahi chal rahi hain”.

Fear/Masala mongering nation & media strike again?

(Oh btw, i had to go to ZMU, dint have time to go in and actually verify it, but hey, all 3 guards there were lying?).

Shouldn’t you investigate and then post something on KMB ?! Duh!

    @BOZZ
aray bhai i was hoping that major injury na ho kisi ko kionki i am damn sure the PT authorities wont be that khuddaar to help them if major assistance is required.

They will obviously churn out the same story which RED Munk posted.

Yeah ud expect them to, but i dont trust Geo (or most of the other media outlets around), all they do is spread rumours, this nation needs constant distractions.
(real or made up), be it the Bachan wedding,
Mobile Virus (Some guys were swearing on their lives today that “ITS REAL”. Had to explain that it aint possible with our standard headsets).

OR something like PT ele busting and breaking 2 AAJ reporters legs—-wth were tv reporters doing in the lift right @ the time of the alleged tragedy i ask.–Karma’s a bitch.

We have an outlet in Park Towers. A bunch of retards were those who were on-board. the lift had capacity of 8 people and 12 people were inside SO it had to happen.. Common sense died again…

It usually always is a result of over-loading. Happened couple of times in my office when 8-9 people squeezed in a 5 ppl lift.

When I heard about who and how many people got injured – it was clear that overloading was the fault. Operator or no op, people do it. And we don’t pay any respect or notice to “poor people who operate lifts” anyway. Imagine a poor elevator man trying to tell the typical PT crowd to mind themselves!

This kind of behavior all comes under self-regulation. Noway on Earth can an authority keep monitoring all people’s moves all the time. It’s the basic rule of human society to MANAGE YOURSELF rather than keep expecting the ammi-jaan to direct your good behavior all the time.

People refuse to take heed, the standard reply, “koi baat nahi ji”. It’s embarrassing and sometimes even though I was the first one to get in an elevator, I stepped out when people refuse to budge out. At other times, just suffered in silence and anxiety.

Also, people need to know elevator manners.
    1. FACE THE DOOR.
    2. DON’T STAND FACING OTHER PEOPLE.
    3. DON’T MAKE THAT HORSE-SHOE/U-SHAPE FORMATION IN THE LIFT.
    4. DON’T MAKE STUPID CONVERSATIONS WITH YOUR COLLEAGUE – OR TALK IN A LOW VOICE.
    5. ONCE YOU’VE PRESSED FOR THE ELEVATOR, HAVE THE GRACE TO WAIT AND NOT RUN AWAY. EMERGENCIES ARE OK, HABITS ARE BAD.
    6. BE GOOD. DON’T DO THAT PRESSING ELEVATOR CALL BUTTON ON EVERY FLOOR FOR A PRANK. SOME PEOPLE DON’T TAKE THIS “LITTLE JOKE” OF THEIRS SERIOUSLY.

    Aside: [To Allah] Help!

Cheap elevators!!! If more than 5 people can fit in it then why not make it handle the load also…
