Will history repeat itself?

I saw this picture in some (relatively old) newspaper which shows the protest of Saddar “dukkan walas” in which they did not open the market and it was just 10 years back!

I hope this does not happen this year despite of the KESC’s “aankh macholi”.

( Im not sure if the picture is clear, no matter how much I tried to search it on the Internet I ended up taking a snapshot from my cell phone.)

What are you talking about? Protest against what? Why did they close their stores then and why would they do it again? Please provide some perspective. You can’t assume everyone knows what you are talking about!

Looks quite and peaceful indeed… I wish it was not so busy as it is now – I remember when I used to live in Karachi – nearly 7 years ago (jeez sounds like a long time!) saddar was not as bad as it is now in terms of traffic – now they have 3 rows of parking on the main roads!

Regardless… I wanna go back soooon!
