Breaking NEWS Credits: Umair Khan, S. Mirza

Alright, this is really getting out of hand in Karachi for the gov. Some credible friends reported the news that speak about Karachi University’s 11 buses been hijacked. There are reports that NED & IBA busses have also been hijacked. This one is not confirmed yet but for the first news here is a breaking news link I could find. all the semester examinations have been canceled now.

Some from from KU or related please verify this. This appeared in daily JANG that’s why I am posting it. Even if this has been done to defame them what matters in the end is the fact that they are in gov & supposedly responsible for lives & property. MQM should back off if it wants to save things up else the Arbab gov will never get a better change to ditch it in.

And where it says that MQM hijacked it ??

  4. Khakan (unregistered) on May 11th, 2007 @ 7:19 pm

There are many political parties involved in tomorrow’s rally. How can you blame mqm for the hijacking? Do you have any proof? Pasbaan called for the strike today and they were involved in forcing shopkeepers to shutdown their shops which resulted in killing one innocent guard at SF.

LOL …what a coward, you deleted your own comment which you replied to Adnan ?? lol you are so lost MB. This proves that you can only spread hatered on KMB and nothing else. Leave the people here to attack each other after you have posted a load of crap. Ahh well.. i forgot, internet is for losers as well… atleast except what wrong you have done.
    Love Karachi.

Because Adnan replied to my email off KMB. He had posted it somewhere else and i had asked him to do it here. All other views you expressed are not my concern.

Are you guys new or something? dont you know according to MB/Doctor and Adnan, everything wrong with Khi is MQMs fault.

    *SIGH*

Even after 20+ years things are still the same only faces has changed. Lame Zia has banned student unions back in the 80’s but conveniently forgot to unarm his JI students. To counter PPP stronghold in Sindh and Punjab he created MQM from Jamiaat wing (Altaf was a member of Jamiaat) and rest is history. Guess it’s time to get a new leader who really care about Karachi and its people regardless of their heritage and more importantly not be tempted by European citizenship :D.

  11. JAY (unregistered) on May 11th, 2007 @ 8:34 pm

Not new. But I dont like “wasting my energy” bashing this troubled soul.

  12. Khakan (unregistered) on May 11th, 2007 @ 8:44 pm

    @Neena
Here we go again with “Zia created mqm” B.S. I dont understand how can people make this stupid argument whcih has no bases at all. Neena can you prove this to me that zia created mqm (dont just give me some BLAAH BLAAH comments come with some concrete proof)..if you know little history of Pakistan you would know that MQM had to be created because of injustice done on Mohajirs since the birth of pakistan. If it was not Altaf Hussain, it would have been somebody else. This had to be done. The problem of Karachi is not mqm, but the people who came to karachi to make money but did not care about the city and created hundreds of issues. Its like illegal Mexican coming to U.S. to make money and ruin the socity. Just go around the Karachi and see who are these people who steal electricity, sell drugs, practice prostitution. All these Ghetos occupaied by the people who has no interest in building Karachi or making it an advanced city. Karachi has been used by all the political parties for thier own good and when Karachi stood up for its own rights they all got togather and started this propaganda about mqm being terrorist. Just be honest with yourself ask the question which political party is sincere with karachi who has done good to Karachi.
Keep in mind that only people who are from Karachi and will be buried in Karachi when they die, are the only one who care about the city.

Well said Khakan. very well said.

  14. SAM (unregistered) on May 11th, 2007 @ 8:57 pm

    For people like KHAKAN.

Did you bother watching “Meray Mutabiq” by Shahid Masood 10 days back. An ISI officer came and openly admitted that they formed the ISI, the IJI the PML(N). Later in next program an Intelligence Head came and also admitted all this.

Stop being ostriches you retards. Open eyes or stay ignorants. Even the WIKI has it all now.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muttahida_Qaumi_Movement

It is generally believed in Pakistan that MQM was created by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), main military intelligence agency in Pakistan. Many people from Karachi and other parts of Pakistan have very strong views about MQM, due to their role in Karachi’s law and order situation. It was created to break the stronghold of Benazir Bhutto in her home province, Sindh. ISI believed that the ethnic tension between Sindhis and Muhajirs will distract Benazir Bhutto and her political party, Pakistan Peoples Party, from launching campaign against the military government of General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. Altaf Hussain was living as a taxi driver in Chicago at that time and he was called to form a Muhajir ethnic political party with funds supplied by ISI.

  15. Concerned (unregistered) on May 11th, 2007 @ 9:03 pm

    @SAM

I am not going to argue with you, because there is no point.

But if you understand the ideology of MQM and the basis on which it was formed, you will realise tht it would have happened sooner or later. Even if it did have ISIs help, it makes no difference.

And I would suggest you avoid using words like retard.

  16. Neena (unregistered) on May 11th, 2007 @ 9:17 pm

MQM had to be created because of injustice done on Mohajirs since the birth of pakistan. If it was not Altaf Hussain, it would have been somebody else.

We all have seen it with our eyes how they were created. They are still aligning with the Army. Aren’t they what more proof do you need. Anyway, if they weren’t then why did they become the oppressor? There had to be some explanation for it.

If it gives you some peace Jamiaat too got personal funding from Zia.

Nevertheless the real problem is not who created them and why but what MQM had done for Karachi and it’s people. Most of Karachiites including me gave their hearts and hard earned cash willingly (though sometimes forcefully) so they can fight for our rights but alas they prove themselves the worst of all. What I’m and others are seeing is MQM leaders home are getting bigger and abroad trips are becoming frequent and luxurious. It’s like your own brother robbing and killing you to live a comfortable life and buy a nice home in foreign land. We need a selfless leader no matter which party he belongs to.

Altaf, is the worst of all, the day he accepted British citizenship he sold all of us.

one of the iba points was hijacked this morning. the students as well as the driver were asked to leave.

dont know the exact locations though

  18. Khakan (unregistered) on May 11th, 2007 @ 9:22 pm

    @Sam
Sounds like Sam was there when the deal between Altaf Hussain and ISI was getting done in Chicago. You referenced “merai mutabik” but read your own comments, where exactly they say that they formed MQM (@SAM”An ISI officer came and openly admitted that they formed the ISI, the IJI the PML(N)”. Funny that he accepted that ISI formed ISI waooo thats very interesting to know up until now people have been wondering who formed ISI..)

Dont beat about the bush. It was a typo mistake. You know what it meant.

Thats the problem with you guys. You just cannot see them eating up BIG chunks. You want examples? There are many and everywhere. Jus take the big time drinker Ishrat Ibad involved in 21 cases including murder just one example out of hundreds. You are brain washed and live in a state of denial.

I am a Mohajir & i know these ghunda’s inside & out. As Adnan or someone else pointed out, the real Mohajir who were sincere with the cause have all gone now. What is left is a gang of ghundas, drinkers, killers & bhatta khors. Keep your eyes open by brother.

Someone mentioned about why they get votes despite such hatred for them. My jamadar who comes in the morning has its answer. He says if he could be given few hundred ghundas, money and all similar resources he can beat the crap out of Altaf. Enough said.

Let me ask you, have you seen Ishrat ul Ibad drinking? have you been his drinking buddy? Stop these nonsense claims with no bases and prooves..You guys cannot talk about facts all you have is false blames. May Allah forgive you for this sin which you just committed by blaming somebody for drinking without any proof.

How do you know they were mqm workers? JI,ppp,ml,anp, they all going to have a rally tomorrow. why you guys keep blaming mqm. MQM does not need to hijack these buses. MQM had a rally few weeks ago and no buses were hijacked at that time, so why it is happening now?

  26. SAM (unregistered) on May 11th, 2007 @ 10:26 pm

Just visit any major bus stop at the moment and u will find a huge rush of passengers waiting there. why? because the terrorist organization MQM’s cartoons are HIJACKING the minibuses, buses & coaches. The passengers r being forced to come out of these buses and I have just witnessed two such incidents on orangi & at nazimabad 2. Now please dont repeat the lamest question : How do you know they were mqm workers Well JI people wont put these buses in their rally using MQM’s flags, will they? So stop being naive all of u terrorism supporters when u know MQM is a big f***ng terrorist organization.

And stop name calling and personal attacks. As i have said earlier that you guys have no facts to base your argument that is why you bad mouth and curse. You know its easy to curse and bad mouth and do personal attacks but i wont do it because that is the difference between haters of the city and lovers of the city..

  33. ash (unregistered) on May 11th, 2007 @ 11:27 pm

Guys please stay safe i am dreading this frickin rally day…God help us all. For the clueless …it doesnt matter one bit how the MQM was formed. Personally like most intelligent people across the country i was overjoyed when BB was initially elected to power , every karachiite i know voted for MQM locally and PPP nationally. Unfortunatley though PPP has got some great people in it the whole bhutto-zardari axis of bull$hit got too much to support.
So once again, why do people support Mush and MQM …mainly because they dislike BB NS and religious extremists enough to keep supporting people who oppose those forces.
It would be great to have some true middle ground in Pakistan and Karachi, maybe one day when education and justice for the masses is not a pie in the sky concept…till then it seems we will keep tilting at windmills.

As far as my point of view about MQM is concerned, Kid, I already shared in one of the post that me and my related people have experienced MQM in real life and know *a bit* better than kids like here who don’t even step out of their homes and doing politics and singing praises of MQM. additional rangers have been called into the city from hyderabad and unconfirmed report is that sindh’s secretory interior has issued a new advisory for CJ telling him that he would be escorted from airport strait to governor house coz of security reasons..(can’t seem to confirm it though..)

If I was offered british citizenship, I would take it in a second, but tht does not mean I dont luv my city.

I don’t agree with ideology of Asif Zardari neither support the “activities” he performed in his wife era but to be honest, the guy is still better than that Altaf who ran away like a coward. Regardless of “facilities” given to Zardari, he preferred to stay within the country. The guy was freed by current govt and now’s he’s enjoying life with his wife and kids. I wish Altaf had similar courage to face all crap within the country but he proved himself that he’s “Moo ka Commando” and can’t face the heat in real. Same goes with Yousuf Raza Gilani and that guy Jawed Hashmi.

It doesn’t I have some sort of soft corner for those guys but if you compare them with Altaf, they appear more “men” that Altaf. Whenever opposition parties ask Altaf bhai to come Pakistan,he orders his workers to give a statment “Altaf bhai k jaan ko khatra hey,jab halat sahe hongay wo ayen gey”. Duh! He can only lead Meerasi party rather a political party.

  47. d0ct0r (unregistered) on May 12th, 2007 @ 1:05 am

sindh’s secretory interior says that he would go to airport to receive CJ.. and first agencies would be asked for security clearance and then CJ would be asked to go directly to Governor House and if he refused the others who’re comming along with him would be sent back on the same flight..

Khakan, there is not much difference between you and a President Musharraf. The way you mentioned “jamadar” like its a degrading job or profession, reminded me of how Musharraf mentioned about “Chupraasi” in one of his interviews. You are so blinded and biased in your approach and opinions about the world around you, that you are hopeless. I wouldn’t want to speak here, but its stupid of you not to see countless ex-hitmans turning millionaires .. and are famous contractors in the city. You need to get a life.

Waise I tell you a secret. UrduSpeaking!=MQM. Even in late 80s, several Urdu speaking people were not used to follow MQM. The other secret is tht Altaf despises to be labelled as “mohajir” now. Don’t you see that he got married with Faiza Gabloo? the Niece of Nabeel Gabool? the Balochi?

As you are denying everybodys comments over here and think of yourself too smart.

lol…this place is a riot. So let me get this straight, if a bunch of karachiites support karachi’s ruling party or pakistan’s prez then there is a nefariuos connection. But people on any other side are the guy off the street? (even though the guy off the street always votes MQM) ..i think its great that we have diversity of thought on the blog, dactor is very dramatically anti MQM for instance , but i belive that our opinions all stem from our lives and thoughts and noone is advertising or rallying for any political party.

  62. Concerned (unregistered) on May 12th, 2007 @ 2:30 am

I agree with what Ash said.

Adnan to answer your comments, I am sorry u feel that you were victimised by MQM, it was prob a power crazy sector inchagre. I am pro MQM, but half the time Doctor is saying things he has absolutly no proof of, tht is the major difference between us.

As for Zardari, 99% of the time during his so called captivity in Pakistan, he was living in Ziauddin hospital in one of the luxury rooms or in some sort luxury cell where his friends and family were free to come and go as they pleased. And I saw this with my own two eyes, mein doctor ki tarah phek nahi raha.

Also the first chance he was free to leave the country he ran. He prob wouldnt come back is he had any chance of going to jail. I dont rem why he didnt run in the first place but it wasnt bec he loved his country. Ans me this why did BB run? If she loved her country she should have gone to jail here too.

Dude dont waste my time with baseless comments.

    @ Doctor

I appolgise for my above comment, u dont phekofy, u speculate / make judgements, there is a little difference. I got carried away again.

If I was offered british citizenship, I would take it in a second, but tht does not mean I dont luv my city.

LOL! Live where ever you wish, just don’t ask votes and money on your name

What is Jamiaat’s role in all this? I heard they still have some control in KU and other institutes mosques. In last elections, JI did won some seats. Though I believe JI and MQM are two names of same people still if there is competition then things tend to remain in some control.

The news is based on truth without doubt as Karachi University’s administration lodged an FIR in Mubina Town Thana against “Unknown” assailants for hijacking 11 university buses from different parts of the city plus abducting and thrashing the drivers.

But what uncovers those “Unknown” in the FIR are the applications filed to the Vice Chancellor of the University for assurance of protection by various students who were eyewitness to incidents. They alleged that armed hijackers’ cars and motorbikes had flags of MQM or APMSO infixed. At some places they called for vacating the buses without mistreating the students while at other they even thrashed some with hands and butt ends of their weapons.

This’s such a lousy attempt by the directors cum malefactors of so-called “Aman Rally”. Kindly spare us students of such vicious tactics, you mafiosi! You are already eating up the whole city.

I think we should accept what MQM is trying to prove that it is the biggest badmash organisation in country….. short only of army.

  74. d0ct0r (unregistered) on May 12th, 2007 @ 11:34 am

MQM’s terrorist are busy blocking the passage to and from sindh highcourt.. lawyers there are having difficulty reaching the venue , and MQM’s thugs are reportedly beating the lawyers and snatching their mobiles(atleast we now know who the real culprits of mobile snatching are) and police and rangers are simply acting as silent spectators and when lawyers asked them for help they simply said .. run and save your life we can’t help you…

kindly edit the title of this post to CJ’s rally & MQM’s counter rally : Updates

  76. d0ct0r (unregistered) on May 12th, 2007 @ 11:54 am

many lawyers from malir bar are also injured when MQM’s supporters attacked them… police and rangers seem to be giving them free hand..

roads to Sindh highcourt are still blocked and even the judges of sindh highcourt had trouble reaching the court.. barriers and containers are blocking all routes.. MQM’s men are manning the entry points and even judges of Sindh highcourt were not spared by MQM’s goon and they misbehaved with them..

taking a sue moto action Sindh Highcourt’s CJ has urgently called Corp Commander, home secretary DG rangers and IG to Highcourt and while commenting CJ highcourt said that these people are not fit for their jobs..

  78. HITMAN (unregistered) on May 12th, 2007 @ 12:48 pm

The IG has expresssed his incompetency to do anything abt it , akim to him The terrorists (read MQM workers) are armed and numerous. Shouldnt he resign if he is unable to do his job?

  79. D0ct0r (unregistered) on May 12th, 2007 @ 1:01 pm

all of the container trawlers and dump trucks blocking the roads have flat front wheels… it is reported that both the front wheel are fired upon so that it won’t be easy to move them..

while Baber Ghauri was being interviewed on tv by reporter a KESC truck with MQM’s flag passed carrying water coolers and Ice… MQM is using full state machinery to facilitate its rally while on the other hand its goons are manning the entry points of highcourt where lawyers are under siege and their movements restricted… irony is that MQM’s terrorist are manning all points (they’re acting like they’re part of security forces) and rangers and police is simply not interfering with their affairs
