Yeh Hum Nahin- This is Not Us

Karachi is fast turning into a battle ground and things, it seems, are not going to get better any time soon. While the MQM, the lawyers and other political parties rally the city for a cause that the citizens of Karachi have all grown indifferent of; we, the citizens of Karachi sit at home fearing for our city.

OUR CITY!! Not the chief justice’s.
Not just the Muhajir’s.
Not the army’s.

OUR CITY!!

And who are we??

People who’re being forced to stay at home when we have work waiting. We, whose exams have been delayed in the wake of the lawlessness in the city. We, who can’t get to hospitals, airports, railway stations, anywhere.

This post is a request for everyone who readsd KMB to register their protests against the current situation in Karachi. If its sides you want to take, if it’s abuse you want to hurl, you can go to other posts. This post is meant specifically for those who don’t comment because they don’t want to get caught up in the ugly mess that comments turn into, specially when they take a political turn.

Karachi needs you, people. Tell us what you really think.

This post will be strictly moderated. Any comment that I feel is inciting, abusive or biased will be deleted. it is not directed againt any one political faction involved in the chaos today. It is a plea to them all to leave our city alone.
.

Update: Any attempt at being objective is futile. Let the insanity continue. Nothing will be deleted.

I believe the CJP should leave the city as soon as possible for the sake of people’s lives and nothing else. His ego and motive or any person’s can never be more important than a human life.

Duh, when you are being a dictator yourself then what’s the friggin point of your rant? DUH! Mush also wants to hear things which he wants? Don;t u thnk you are being a lamer? how one could be UNBAISED here? someone would favor CJ while some other would favor MQM? Either remove the post or stop asking for so called “UNbaised” comments. those who don’t make comments will not make anyway. NObody stopped those silent readers to make any comments. They are incapable to share their rants. DOn’t curse others for their impotency.

Since u will remove this post as it would IRK you, atleast you would be able to read my message

Jay, dude even if CJ moves back to ISB, things are not going to get controlled. Things have gotten out of control now.

“We” are the people who have been electing MQM for last 17 years so definately “THIS IS US” who are responsible for all this chaos. Closing the eyes like pigeon and saying “THIS IS NOT US” can just give a laugh while in reality we all are responsible to make others karachiites lives hell by electing these goons.

    JAY at,

No sir. U can move it where ever u like. Not my loss. =)

Also, abt time for the residents to take responsibilities. They elected MQM. Now have fun.

Point to ponder: how come not a single soul was hurt anywhere else CJP went…forget punjab, nothing happened even in Sukkur. Why does it have to happen in the MQM constituency?

Punjabi conspiracy? yup. I can smell it from miles.

    C ya.

Awais, you are right. The outer world getting the message that it’s only karachi which is violent. Surely people can’t blame Punjab for this becuse everyone witnessing the brutal act of Altaf at this moment.

    Adnan, just a lil advice.

You do not have to say each and everything thats on your mind.

IMO, Sid should already have deleted a cuppala posts. But thats my op as u surely have yours :).

Ill try and avoid bashing anyone:

Let things play out as they are.
Since the “smart” ppl are safe at home,

let the idiots die the death they deserve.

    Good ridance.

…..Sadly it isnt so, the mqm ppl dying or commiting these acts are again pawns of a leadership doing all it can to prove their loyalty & prove to the general that he bet on the winning horse.

No where else in the country was there such violence. No one was killed expcept KHI. What does that show you?

All the politicians will cry and bash each other for the forseeable future.

The only one effected will be us the citizens.

Hopefully all the miscreants of today get what they deserve.

Thank you sid, for finally coming up with (non biased-anti mush-anti mqm)post @ KMB.

  17. ash (unregistered) on May 12th, 2007 @ 8:10 pm

Despicably so violence has somehow always been a karachi political trademark and its sad that after years of somewhat quiet the death rate has gone up again today. I hope this isnt a sign of things to come. Its worth mentioning guys that MQM clashed with the PPP and at this point they are both prop govt.
The reason that no other city sees this violence is that both parties are vying for leverage to form the future Sindh govt by outdoing the other in Mush’s eyes.

    dear pakistanis:
on 12th may im not going to put my words .but my question 2 all the opposition parties is that,
“WHERE WERE THEY WHEN 1600 PEOPLES WERE KILLED IN THE 1992 OPERATIONS AGAINST MUHAJIRS(MQM)”
(on record there was not a single ralley held by any party 4 the routhless killing of human beings)
if fighting for rights is terrorism then i think mqm is the biggest one.
“NOW ALL THE OPPOSITION PARTIES ARE HELPING OUT THEMSELVES FOR THE UPCOMING ELECTION AFTER THE DEATH OF 40 PEOPLES”
    thanks
