Another Option for a Quick Lunch

I had been spotting these strange ‘rickshaws from mars’ on the road that runs parallel to the ‘grey lake’ / Nehr-e-Khayam in Clifton Block 5 for a long time. The uncommon sandwich pictures, and their uncommon names made me think that somebody has imported these vehicles to renovate-and-sell.

Later, I realized that these are real means of order delivery for Henny’s, the sandwich company.

As a number of active KMB readers would testify, these guys offer some good alternative lunch options at an affordable price. Average sandwich cost is around Rs 85, delivered in a decent box anywhere in the surrounding area.

With a wide variety of bread used in their sandwiches (I think there are six or eight on the menu) and a good mix of herbs, spices, mayo, chicken, turkey and beef allows them to excite the taste buds of those who have had enough of the regular stuff.

Interestingly, the company does not have any dedicated outlet. I am told that they have a make-shift counter at FTC and one more place. The guys don’t even have a website (but the nice disposable transparent plastic sandwich container) do carry an email address. My personal experience says that the sandwiches I tried (Bermuda and Turkey Talk) were real good and I felt filled when I was done. Delivery time was quick and the telephone service to order was polite too.

Qurtuba has some more information and experience with them here.

Tee, How is the meat is it spicy? Usually the sandwich style turkey and beef is very bland.

Everytime Henny’s deliver from a diff location.

Once the dude said “We are near Kala Pull”

Next time it was “Near Clifton Center”.

The sandwiches are O.K, but I avoid them due to the processed meat.

Delivery is free (although I think they might have a min order). 11am-9pm

    Tel: (021)-452-7440
    (021)-454-7472

The #’s are kinda old & if they have been changed, sorry!.
