MQM tries to pacify its supporters

In an effort to pacify the fired up atmosphere that has engulfed Karachi in the past few days especially in regards to the strong words used against Altaf Hussain by Imran Khan. MQM and Altaf Hussain have issued a press statement instructing its followers to exercise restraint when a political leader makes inflammatory statements to the media and Altaf Hussain has also requested them to clean up the city walls of all slogans that were made throughout the city on Saturday night.

It might be damage control, but a positive effort nonetheless and must be appreciated as things were definitely getting quite tense in the city.

bhai then white wash the ones that have no threats on them. Even if they have threats on them, Ibad and Mustafa have issued their statements regarding the cleanup.

atleast you’re accepting that Mohajir Rabita Council is part of MQM .. while other day when Farooq satar was confronted with this issue of threats being issued to senior journalist,he categorically disowned Rabita Council.. saying that MQM have nothing to do with MRC… its halarious these terrorist are having time covering up their footprints

This is so hypocritical of MQM like always.
We all personally saw playcards with objectionable slogans written about Imran during the MQM press confrence where their leadership was present also during the press club protest they did against Imran Khan.
Their leadership present at that occasion didn’t object to it.
Now their Don from London see’s that general public didn’t like all the chalking and now MQM says “they don’t encourage such language”.

They MQM thugs have no shame.

yaar Sanwal, you may be right about all that, but we cannot just get stuck on the past. No one is arguing that the filth they wrote on the walls was bad. We should take advantage of the situation and clean Karachi so that other parts of the country do no take advantage of the situation.

    Assalaamualaekum,

@Doctor- I kindly disagree with you. whatever we have on those sites do not represnt Karachi for the most part. Those pictures represent a political party’s agenda or backlash. We need to look and work for something that is best for Karachi. If washing the entire city would make it better, than we should. No matter who is asking for it. Ultimately cleaner walls would be better for Karachites. For most native Karachites, no place is dearer in Pakistan than Karachi.

I happened to witness the so called white wash of those graffiti @ PIB colony on the side walls of Central Jail. Not all the graffiti is painted. Moreover, only the name i.e. Imran Khan has been “choonafied” in a pathetic manner. The abusive words r still there.

log kahate hain to phir thiik hii kahate honge
mere ehabaab ne tahaziib na siikhii hogii
mere maahaul mein insaan na rahate honge

This couplet is dedicated to Doctor, CitizenofKhi, Asa, Patriotic….many names with one brain behind. I can’t understand the mentality of the person behind all these posts….a sick mind…full of hatred. I have never seen a hypocrite like you…on one hand you are savoir of judiciary…on the other hand you did not believe in Pakistani courts. But one thing is for sure…Mr. Khan is going to open a Pandora box…which would also help the MQM to plead its case. Now that Mr. Khan is challenging Mr. Hussain’s stay in Britain….he also had to answer why the 15000 mohajiir were killed in extra judicial killings…why their businesses were ruined…why all the doors were closed for mohajiirs….just because they are not the son-of-the-soil. Sir, with due respect….putting finger on someone is the easiest task….but to prove your case is the most difficult part. Mr. Khan is taking refuge to Naseer ullah Baber (the killer of muhajiirs) and Haqiqi terrorists….shame on Mr. Imran Khan….its shows that he is an agent of the establishment, who want to stop the MQM’s message to empower the 98% common man.

Establishment is currently with MQM, there should be no doubt about it. As far as filing the case in London is concerned, how come this is a -ve thing? Altaf is a UK Citizen, do u have any doubt about it?

And what does Imran has to do with killings during the era of 1988-1992?

  14. d0ct0r (unregistered) on May 30th, 2007 @ 2:28 pm

@salman you talk about courts? heh… MQM’s criminal governor sindh today went to sindh highcourt to pressurize the court on 12 may’s case proceedings .. but CJ sindh highcourt sternly rebuked him and told him that matter was subjudice and if and when he is called by the larger bench only then he can talk about 12may matters..

on the other hand puppet Chief Minister sindh said that now Sindh highcourt have become a party to this case so any orders given by highcourt won’t be acceptable… sitting CM sindh openly telling courts that your orders are unacceptable to me…

Cat is out of the bag…

Zia formed the MQM: General Beg

In an interview to Murtaza Solangi of the Voice of America, Gen Beg said “most certainly” it was Zia who had the MQM founded. He added that Gen Musharraf should be asked why he relied on the MQM so much. He said it was under the present government that the offices of MQM’s rival, MQM (Haqeeqi), were shut down and its people sent to jail. The MQM had now come to the aid of the regime in a show of loyalty, he said.

People who are Calling MQM as terrorist Organization should think twice before saying that because that reflects on their OWN TERRORIST MIND, we have atleat a dozen Terrorist Organization working in the country and now people who can write are also acting as TERRORIST writers. There might be some people who might have acted insane in all the Political parties that is deplorable but calling our own parties as Terrorst does not give credibility to all of US.This word is a ‘WESTERN WORD FOR THE MUSLIMS’so lets not get trap in to their GAME.

I generally agree with what you said but i donot think any other party in pakistan has so openely committed such henious acts as done by MQM. I am an urdu speaker but believe me I seriously think MQM definitely does not mean , Muttahidda Qaumi Movement, Neither it means Muhajir Qaumi Movement. After 12 May, Any word that comes to my mind for MQM is Maar do, Qattal kardo Movement.

    Dear AHmed Ali Khan

There is a simple solution to all these problems.
If we think the following way:

    I am a muslim and a pakistani

There is no problem in being a sindhi / punjabi / balochi/kashmiri/sarhadi (notice this is reagional not ethnic that means all people living in a province) if this does not clash with my being pakistani and muslim

There is no problem if i am speaking urdu, barohi, punjabi, farsi, pushto, hindko, balochi, saraiki, english arabic if it does not conflict with my being a muslim and pakistani

There is no problem in being a supporter of PML, MMA, MQM, PPP, ANP etc if this does not conflict ….

There is no problem in any association as long as that association is not run like a cult and does not teach you to hate others for their race, language, color or ethnicity. Our biggest problem is that we are extremist in general and easily fall for divisive leaders who exploit our emotions and make us hate others so they can benifit from it and use our energies, money and time

A sad thing to tell to all anti MQM people MQM has again won the election in Karachi.

The Man (Altaf Hussain) has power Jeeye Altaf

  33. ZEMASKO (unregistered) on June 7th, 2007 @ 8:08 pm

MQM has an existence of its own. It just does not need Altaf Hussain in it. He is the pain in the arse of Karachites. He is the curse that Karachi is having until he lives.

Just think, how many of our friends has been killed. And my friends are like, completely brain-washed about Altaf Hussain, some what really afraid to challenge his decisions. All engineers and doctors… running like hell to obey Altaf Hussain’s orders.

Think what is it that Altaf Hussain has given to Karachi or its residents? Death? and Death tolls? The hatreds? Enemies and foes! What else? And the APMSO? I wished to join APMSO when I was in my university but when I saw the dirty politics even in between the party workers. It was hell.

No doubt Altaf has given a recognition to Karachites, the Mohajir-ic-Label, as they claim. But we never wanted that recognition, even if we wanted that recognition, we never wanted it at the cost of the lives of the youth of Karachi.

My heart burns for the great friends of mine, who got killed during Naseerulla Baber operation in Karachi. I am sure, they would have been a very successful professional, were they alive today.

Its correct, that Karachites literally LOATHE(highly intensed) Altaf Hussain, but donot say anything just because of their families. They are afraid of the possible astray bullet, seeking their skulls, out of the dark.

Nobodys afraid of the fight, but remember that nobody fights with a fool.

Problem with MQMers is that they do not listen, and they are simply not ready to listen. If they would listen, they would improve. But, Alas!

Somebody HAS-TO/MUST clean Karachi from these MQMers. I would fully support Imran Khan.

I agree to the people who say, that Imran Khan is one from the same Cabal. But what would you do if you MUST choose a-Chor from Chors? So lets give Imran Khan a try. Lets support him.

    How to support? Spread awareness.

There are already lots of ex-MQM workers now a part of Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Benazir, Altaf Hussain, that Ganja (Navaz Shareef), all are ass-holes. They do politics in leisure.

Well, I’ve got more to say, but just read it and thot of replying.

People may read/ignore/react/etc to it, but no offense to anyone.

    Long Live Pakistan!

  34. NAEEM (unregistered) on June 8th, 2007 @ 4:06 am

MQM is not againt the solidarity or integrity of Pakistan.
Some people are spreading news that Altaf Hussain spoke anti-Pakistan remarks in India
Altaf never said the words like the creation of Pakistan was a mistake.

Have a look at the complete text of his speech on PPP oficial website, there is no such single sentence against Pakistan.

Its just the hype created by some anti-Pakistan people, who try to fool those innocent Pakistanis, who would never go through/ listen complete speeches and form their opinions without deep thinking.
