Far sightedness

http://karachi.metblogs.com/archives/images/2007/06/07062007-thumb.jpgAs Mansoor mentioned, the air is pretty clean these days. Smoke and dust free. It’s still pretty damn hot out there, but the visiblity is excellent. I was able to see as far as my eyes allowed from my office building. Usually the smoke and dust in the air limits the visibility to a significant extent. I don’t know how did it happen (did God just install an air filter above Karachi?) and how long it will last, let’s just cherish it while it does. Get on top of your nearby multistory building and take a look outside. It’s worth the sight.

Incase anyone is interested, heres how the sunset was in Karachi. Usually the sky is never this dramatic.

Whoa!, Great pic Echos. Where did you shoot that? (looks like it was taken from a height?).

    —-

The reason the skies are so clear and its so hot is,

God is angry on Karachites for the 12th May massacares & all the ‘beghairtis’ that are have been going on.

    …..You may start your flame…..NOW!.

:P, seriously though. Its always real hot in June, but come on!. Where is our rain? :{.

Add the heat to the way the power has been managed this week……..AHHH!!!.

I wonder whats the figure on the ppl who have fell to heat-strokes &/or dehydration.

There must be some scientific explanation for this. Any one care to explain?

What’s going on with KMB authors? One says “Karachi Tops Air Pollution Data”
    http://karachi.metblogs.com/archives/2007/06/karachi_tops_ai.phtml

and the other claims that the air is pretty clean and smoke and dust free!!

Please try to make sense in your posts instead of writing just for the heck of it.

    Thank you.

  17. Petarian_88 (unregistered) on June 8th, 2007 @ 1:18 am

    @Omar:

i guess it has something to do with the Cyclone Gonu currently hitting Oman/Iran…it was in the arabian gulf for the last many days.

iam pretty sure your cleaner air in khi these days has something to do with it:))

thats shocking.. now these terrorist from MQM seem to have kidnapped that lawyer who filed case against
    MQM’s terrorists and govt for 12th May’s killing…

maybe in coming days either he’ll be recovered dead or beaten and forced to withdraw cases.. these terrorist would never mend their ways…

i would just like to comment on an unrealted topic, not discussed here on KMB i.e the visit of Imam e kaba.

as the visit progressed it looked like the govt got the Imam e kaba on rent from the saudi govt to shore up it’s image!!:()) esp after the Imam started making pro govt comments!

Dun you guys get it?!?!? The back breaking load shedding is shutting down all the industrial sector. Thas why the skies are so clear. As no industrial activity, so no smoke, and no pollution…
