This is very frustrating…!Our govt claims that we are moving forward, while electricity is the basic need of nation, and it is going back….! Why? KESC doesnt have any department, who figure out future load and do some step to upgrade power, according to the need of city.
This is not like people doesnt pay bills, i am sure everybody pay their bills so why the hell we have situation like this, and i dont know how long karachi will suffer in this pain…! what are our provicial as will as citi govt doing? Does any body have any plan??? Our City Govt talk about bridges, buses, signalless corridors, bypasses, high riser buildings, parks, and i dont know what else…! but why dont they think about power required for those mega projects….! Source of power??? how they will run??? these are scope of project!
Are they only for mouth…! There are mistakes of our planners and thinktanks.
Anyways…! Now its time to getride of any project except power stations! City govt should put money on project for power stations only…! they should consider for future load too…! Generator and UPS are not solution, may be for short time…! but definatly somebody have to think about it…!

Dude dont be naive, quite a few ppl in khi dont pay for their electricity (you might have heard of Kunda) and if you take the rural parts of the country then most ppl dont pay the electricity.

I remember in Kalam (northern areas) the entire city/ village didnt pay their bills for years, they thought the bijli was supposed to be free, the result was tht the entire city’s electricity was shut down and most places there run their own generators. This was a few years back, dont know if it has changed at all.
