Did someone say rain????

Just as I entered Clifton this morning to head towards office I was greeted by seemingly wet roads and the smell of sift scent of wet earth. Had it rained???

Driving on there were small puddles here and there, the beautiful over cast sky above me and then finally, some sign of drizzle on my windscreen. By the time I reached office, the drizzle had stopped (or rather I drove out of the rain cloud patch).

At the moment though, I see a slight drizzle outside my office window.

It rained here last night. Any one experienced it?
oh…and I just lost power…dang!

I woke up in the morning and it was really shady, which was really strange because, well, it’s June. My cook told me it drizzled a little though; and when I looked out it was shady. It’s still shady and the temperature’s cooled down a lot. It’s funny how KESC burst your bubble towards the end of your post :).

This year Rain in Karachi will be in scattered pacthes. Greener patches will get more down pour then other parts and some parts will not even get the drizzle.

Global warming is taking its toll, and karachi is well affected. June 18th 3.30 AM temp was 34C and humidity was 67%.

Monsoon season is still 20 days away, though low pressures are coming towards Pakistan this year from west instead of east.

You could similar question to somone who lives in clifton? what was the reason to create a POST[a useless and lame one] for this purpose? Now don’t say you have NO friend in clifton area.

It’s sad that old authors also started following new lame authors to create useless posts.

I recently visited Lahore and other parts of Pakistan. I can tell every Karachiite who hasn’t been there or doesn’t know much about weather in Punjab…. IT’S DAMNNNNN HOT!

I couldn’t stand the heat, it was too damn hot and apparently, I got there when the real heat was over (I was up in the moutains when it was really really hot in Lahore)

The sea breeze of Karachi is like a natural AC that runs from evening to dawn. We are truely blessed!

There was actually a bit of rain today at around 11:30am because I saw little droplets of water on the leaves overlooking my bedroom window and it was not possible for the maali to have watered THAT high. And then my mother called and told me she experienced a handfull of droplets on her car while driving through an unusually cloudy clifton. And then the sun came out. Obviosly.

So, now you are using this blog for finding out if it rained or not….I don’t think, it’s the best use of this medium.

I remember those days when I was in Khi ….. the ppl use to get so much excited in a cloudy and rainy kind of weather.
All the guys stares at the gals and the gals comes out into their balconies, (I know it happens all the time but something really special in this weather) … although it gets too much polluted but the kids use to enjoy so much that they have all kinds of fun with rain, ppl plans to go to hawksbay and clifton and all ….. so I was wondering the same kind of spirit is their or not ?

yes it did rain yesterday, i dont remember the actual time but, it was somewhere around 8 in the morning, when rain started i felt as if it would last for some long span but as usual, rain drops after playing tricks vanished away leaving behind the pleasant smell of soggy mud.

I was in lahore and it rained cats n dogs there, couple of days back. However, if it rained in Karachi, the city will convert into death trap thanks to all ‘development’ work going around.
