Pursuit of Hapiness

THE KARACHI THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY presents N. K. SHAHANI on

“In pursuit of Happiness”

Acquisition of wealth, status and power makes one happy. Happiness, in the holistic sense, is our ability to strike a balance between our physical, emotional and spiritual levels of consciousness. According to the Ancient Wisdom, there are subtle organs in our super-physical bodies that channel our psychic energies and vital forces and serve as a link between the physical, psychic and super-physical consciousness. These are called Chakras, a Sanskrit word meaning spinning wheels or discs, mainly seven in the human anatomy, which are likened to flowers with many petals. An understanding of the properties and potential of the Chakras would help us awaken, arouse, optimize, enhance, improve or develop these force centres to attain the requisite balance between the various levels of consciousness. Happiness would then ensue.

N. K. Shahani, fondly called ‘N. K.’ by his friends, is a scion of the Shahani family and a third generation theosophist. By an interactive presentation, he seeks to evoke interest in this aspect of occult sciences.

    I am not into Chakras and stuff, though I think they use this kinda stuff in Tantric art too? :P

    With all due respect to everyone please focus your energy on your five daily namazs.Today the inferiority complex is growing so rapidly in our society that we are looking for a quick fix from any kind of modernity we can get.
    In the Quran Allah subhanataala is saying that “only in my remembrance do heart find satisfactions”.Hope that is suffecient for all of you.

    @ShahidnUSA:
    I also don’t judge people by their ethnicities or religious beliefs. That is one way to save yourself from diseases like ulcer and high blood pressure.

    Pursuit of Happiness sounds good, but i think we’ll need all the Chakras in the World to get rid of the likes of Mullah brigade of Lal Masjid.
