The AFR/Applied for registration drama has been discussed quite often on KMB, and I just wanted to share another masterpiece in this same context.

A FOR R, written in a green plate to give it a sarkari look. Interesting!

Also spotted the next day: A spanking new Civic, with the plate AFR-408.
Now logically, this was meant to meant to be read as AFR-4-08 (Applied for Registration for 2008).

I am sure there is some other car out there with a genuine AFR 408 plate, but I am fairly certain this is not genuine. Why? The AFR series was issued during 2006, and the car model that was sporting this plate, was released after Feb 2007. The series currently in issue is ANV/ANW.

Has anyone else also come across interesting licence plates?
