who says we don’t care about the trees?

i know the rest of the team has been going on about tree cutting and the need for a greener karachi, but i think we need to see the other side too. we do conserve trees here in the city by the sea. we do it by avoiding paper. and messing up other people’s walls to make up for it.

the graffiti in the city is getting ridiculous. one message runs into another which runs into another which runs into another ad nauseum. this is just a case in point.

it took me a while to figure out that this was not one, but two pieces of worthless information.

I disagree. Its not getting ridiculous. Its actually getting REAL. I like such wall “beautification” actually. It helps outsiders understand that inside the Jeans & T-Shirts we have miles to go before we grow. We love misusing anything we feel like & at the end curse gov on why our roads dont look like Singaporean ones.

The “so called” educated Mohajir brothers recently showed their love for ART in city by full-of-morals messages every where in city against IMRAN. This one too seems to be one of their Artistic way of showing their enlightenment.

Similarly, when MMA & Co fancies anything against USA they use all their useless energies doing the same. Who says we dont love Karachi. We in fact over-love it.

Dont be so pessimistic. May be these are because people dont have anything to channel their anger on. May be there is no platform to shout on & about things people want to shout over.

Guess what , may be good bucks in painting a wall with absurdity. Anyone, any idea on how much you get on painting walls ?

The “Perfume Chowk” thing has gone a bit too far. Everywhere from Nazimabad to DHA to N Karachi, everywhere you go there is grafitti on the wall “Perfume Chowk, Gulistan-e-Jauhar”, so its good in a way that some samaritian has taken upon himself to ridicule the perfum grafiti with his additions.

Keep up the good work at bad mouthing these grafitti sobs by making them eat thier own spit.

WORDS (useless or useful) belong in books.

Educated societies UNDERSTAND this simple fact.
Uncouth societies don’t. We (myself included) belong to an uncouth society.

We need an emancipated leader to take us all out of the shithole that we’re all trapped in, so we can take off our minds off Lal Masajid and start some progress.

Mullah or Majlis BAY_AMAL they are all religious crimnals, they have sodomised the religion to the worst.

Quran & Hadith they have their own versions and translations they do not perform Namaz ba jamat because the Imam is different then their party, again & again they proved failure, however repeatedly getting united to fight again for their BENEFIT only.

Mullah Raped other Mullah at Islamabad’s notorious place where losers worshipped their version of ALLAH, we all saw on TV channels how they kicked slapped, tortured other mullahs, then from among themselves someone choose haram mouth and killed himself by blowing up in a cafe. I hope many of us have seen TV reports, and the clear display of fanaticism.

Watch out it is heading our way, if we do not get wake up now, it will be too late. or like Cowasjee well said at T2F, Bhag Jaoo leave this place.

    apathy is what is future,

I am very much pleased to see the cult which claims itself “Educated” and “cultured” have come out in true colors. Using abusive language for those who you think are Jahil, retard and backward don’t make you educated enough. it’s like a chor abuse a dakoo for his activities. Someone who don’t know you as well as MMA or mullahs wouldn’t make any difference between your CLASS and others who are being abused by you.

Jamal and Mansoor, your parents must read your entries on this thread so that they can feel proud what kinda “Product” they have prepared.

  12. Xill-e-Ilahi (unregistered) on July 29th, 2007 @ 12:51 pm

while i agree with you to an extent, adnan, by commenting on the way their parents have brought them up you just joined the same category which you hate so much.

and all readers, this is a blog about a bunch of writers writing about their city. if you like it, great. if you don’t, well, tough luck. you don’t have to make everything a personal vendetta. if you’ve got different views, air them on your own sites. while you’re here – at least on my posts – keep the comments on topic. please.

Xill: Since when did I use such terms for Army or others? No, please don’t comeup as an ally of your fellow author and attack on me. Read what they said rather criticizing me just because I criticized their behaviour and I shouldn’t matter here. I am already labeled as Mullah so I am ignorant and not educated but your literate fellows who always tried to prove their superiority are not different than “ME” so what’s the point that they come out and criticize others?

  14. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on July 29th, 2007 @ 1:04 pm

actually i smell baisness here which is not surprising. This entry was about wall chalking but kids came out and started bashing against just because they read Maslis Amal. XE was hibernating somewhere at the time when these comments were made or it’s just it was not irking him. As soon as I made a comment,it turned him on and replied me. Wow abbas, i liked it kid!

  15. Jamal Shamsi (unregistered) on July 29th, 2007 @ 2:15 pm

@Adnan, more or less you belong to league of people riding two boats at one time,

having a beard & and tricolor flag hiding in your attire for quick change of sides and staying SAFE :)

Smile :) it is Sunday :)

  16. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on July 29th, 2007 @ 3:11 pm

Jamal I do smile when I see psuedo edcuated like you who reacts similarly like the community you despise. Unlike Mansoor, you are not a teenager and I think you are aged enough that such tone don’t sound good at all. Using F* word and others. Come on Shamsi are you are not in 20s and I think you are even elder than me. So pls, don’t start trolling just to hide what have you just demonstrated, Uncle. *grin*

BTW, few post back you were singing praises of Karachi’s Sufis in Unaiza’s post. If one reads bios of all of them including others then he would find out that People of that time used to abuse them as well and made fun of them like people like you do today with molvis. For them those residents of Shrines and other religious celbs like Imam Hanifa(RA),JUnaid Baghdadi(RA), Malik(RA) were “Mullahs” and people used similar tone for them. But those who abused them are not even remembered today while those religious figures are still respected by millions. So yes, you people do bring smile on my face when you people would also be ignored like lunatics of past because you people are nothing but foam on surface.

and Yes it’s a beautiful sunday and I am thankful you made it one for me;)

  17. Jamal Shamsi (unregistered) on July 29th, 2007 @ 8:32 pm

@adnan – SUFIS, and Olyah Allah none were khateeb or alim or politician, for any Masjid or Madarrsah in past 300 years of Sub continent history.

and comparing present day political Mullahs’ & 4 QUL moulvis’ with WAMA KASB translated to MA KA SAB – Gimme a break,

you sure are youthful, trying to make fun of yourself, present day Sufis are INVISIBLE, to commoners, and stay hidden for the sake of humanity., not for sake of Islam.

here it comes OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO___________oooooo catch it!
