  6. Syed Johny (unregistered) on August 29th, 2007 @ 11:29 pm

OOps sorry didnt followed the link at first!

Can somebody guide me to the location !
U see I am from the “other side of bridge”

Somebody guide me Via Buss routes to the area ! cause I know someway around in DHA but by buss routes and not by area names!

  7. Inspirex (unregistered) on August 29th, 2007 @ 11:51 pm

Syed Johnny: you would be surprised. contrary to popular belief, there are many people from the “other side” of the bridge. including myself and over 60% of the KMB team.

The Second Floor is a cafeteria located on the second flor of Prime Point Building on Khayaban e Ittehad, DHA.

For everyone coming through Shahrah e faisal (i.e. from PECHS, Nazimabad, FB Areas, Gulshan e Iqbal, Gulistan e Johar, Malir etc etc…) best route is to go take the bridge on top of baloch colony and head towards Defence/Korangi.

Keep going straight until you reach the newly constrcted flyover, take a right and decend on the Defence-Korangi Road.

On the first intersection (which is fairly close to the descent of the bridge) take a left, and keep going straight. This is Khayaban e Ittehad. Take a U-turn after you see a Standard Chartered bank branch on the left side.

T2F (The Second Floor) is located on the second floor of the building opposite SCB.

Bus Routes: W22, W21 and W19 pass by the intersection leading to Khayaban e Ittehad. This is located close to Akhtar Colony stop. (if you are coming from the Flyover, the intersection is before the Akhtar Colony stop).

God knows how many bridges I have to cross just to get ‘this side of the bridge’.:-))

    Well said, Imtiaz.

So is it something like umm.. BLOGGING FOR DUMMIES?

Unaiza or Saba as lecturer, sounds wicked :-)

  10. jacktheripper (unregistered) on August 30th, 2007 @ 3:48 am

kya mazaaq hai, kuch aur kaam ker lo yaar, bohat hi faarigh hain ye loag.

  11. zee (unregistered) on August 30th, 2007 @ 9:25 am

I might drop there since it says that they will discuss SEO. What about blog adds? As in the address of the blog? Or contextual, graphical ads displayed on them to support the site?

    So who else is coming?

  12. Inspirex (unregistered) on August 30th, 2007 @ 11:29 am

@zee: this is blog advertisements. contextual stuff.

  13. Paidagir (unregistered) on August 31st, 2007 @ 12:17 pm

will you please upload that presentation to rapidshare or something, so that we the people living in other cities will be able to check it .. off course after your meetup.
    Thanks

Is spanking involved in the class?

  15. Claude Almansi (unregistered) on September 1st, 2007 @ 2:19 am

So sorry Karachi and Bellinzona are so far away. I’d love to come otherwise. I second Padigar’s request, but rather than Rapidshare, I’d suggest the Internet Archive where you can upload several files of different types in a single “item” page with a single URL (1) – and where you can choose a Creative Commons license stating what you do and don’t allow users to do with them.

    cheers

    Claude

    (1) E.g. in http://www.archive.org/details/creativecommons_ch_2007_05_26 I put the recordings of the speakers at the launch of swiss-law-adapted Creative Commons licenses.

  23. CitizenofKhi (unregistered) on September 1st, 2007 @ 10:20 am

I would suggest you guys to bring up an important issue at the meeting.

This guy with the nick Balma, I dont care if he is a muslim or not, but the thing is … if you go through his comments mostly he writes something negative about islam and Pakistan, I hate this guy as he is a big fitna, everytime he finds reasons to badmouth against our religion.

One of the solution is the author of the post should be responsible to delete all of his comments. Or ppl like Adnan should follow up with his bakwas to answer them.

What you guys suggest for him ?????

See some of his comments at KMB, nobody can bare these kind of comments.

    Fire at Allah Wala Roundabout
The more corrupt our people get, more places they name after Allah, Iqra, Fatah, Al-this, Al-that, Ya-Qudoos, Ya Rehman.

Pakistanis of all types and educational backgrounds are some of the biggest crooks in the world.

Most people actually think that these so called madrassas are good.
These madrassas should be immediately taken over by government, and after a cool down period and purging of jerks from their management, they should be given to be run under private co-ops…something like catholic schools.

madrassas are not something that gets you savaab…madrassa students are not going straight to janat…. being hafiz does not let your grandparents to janat..all BS…it is no better than regular schools…actually, they are worse than regular schools

    When there is a will
we don’t need any fucking mullah to validate any nikkah

    Sleepless in Karachi
I believe Muslims today are the least creative people on the face of this earth. Every other child born these days is named Mohammad. This means that most idiots, daakoos, criminals, and bayvaqoofs in the Muslim world and Pakistan are named Mohammad.

I believe Muslims should stop using Muhammad as a name for male child for a couple of generations. There are too many of them.

Of ‘class hatred’ and other related disorders
I believe that buying a house near a mosque, park, commercial areas, and right on the beach is never a good idea anywhere in the world, esp in Karachi where most people are jahils.

Mosques are a magnet for undesirable characters, plus paanch vaqt zore zore say loud speakers per shore machaatay hai’n

Koee in gadho’n say poochhay, keh janab gadhay sahib – loud speaker per azaan dainaa zaroori hae?

Most Masjids in Karachi are illegal. Atleast, one won’t have to hear 5 azans at the same time then!

Metroblogging Islamabad covering Red Mosque saga
Burqua and Beard have nothing to do with Islam. There is no mention of phantom shaitani burqua in Quran, and perhaps only one mention of the word beard in Quran, and that too as a negative.

    For how long?
Muslims have very low rate of achievements, and it is no surprise that Pakistan bhee aik ma’arkaa (achievement) lagtaa hae….estandards hee itnay ghaTyaa hai’n!

    Sir Syed Towers…
Also, as I said that most people in Pakistan are cheaters, how would you make sure that people pay their bills.

Driver Education Drive 4 : Be Careful!
Karachi has gone from bad to worst…..in the mean time number of masjids have doubled.
As I believe, the number of masjids is inversly proportional to the decency of our people.

    God’s Canvas
Her cheez may Quran kee aayaat Daalnay kee kyaa zaroorat hae?

    Where In Karachi # 108
Since most masjids of Karachi are illegal, just their removal may solve the problem we have with superimposition of azaans. Kaheen allah-u-akbar ho rahaa hae, next sentence you hear is hai-allah alfalah, then suddenly you hear hai-allah-salah out of sequence…total non-sense if someone asks me!

  34. Straight Talker (unregistered) on September 2nd, 2007 @ 9:48 am

Tell your authors to avoid grammar and spelling mistakes as much as they can.

Always use “Spell Check” before you post.

Watch and follow international news and events as well.

Know your values and traditions and then write on those subjects.

    Bring quality in your work.

    @Adnan
Yes dear, such post by authors are taken good care by UMAR in our emailing list. You dont worry about that

    @CITIZENOFKHI
I see majority of those comments you quoted to be quite right. Whats wrong in them ?

    @Straight Talker
“Watch and follow international news and events as well” ???
Do you actually know what KMB is about ?

As for grammar, we are what all ordinary karachiites. We are not professional writes and nor we get paid for this and nor we are trained for this. Please do some googling on the blog and what it is about.

  37. Anon (unregistered) on September 2nd, 2007 @ 2:10 pm

Balma’s comments are the only thing that make sense on this blog. I think the KMB writers should attend a seminar on blogging themselves first and then, if they learn anything, teach others.
