Zainub, Go and visit Gastro Specialist, after youth is over, it will become a nightmare, Time to pay attention. Believe me Little one am not kidding.,

GASTRO Specialist Dr. Waseem Jaffery starts his presentations with:

Gentleman & Ladies, if you are a grown up adult with healthy eating habits, and you get enough burps and farts either when you are hungry or when you had enough food you enjoyed(he says it with wide smile) you are fine.

However, if any of that i mean burps & farts (wide smile) is painful and trouble some usually and cause you trouble please do see a gastro doc.

All major ailments starts from bad stomach, the 1st common one is Blood pressure, and the most dangerous one is Angina, because stomach half full is less a problem then stuffed stomach which needs flushing.,

Green Tea after every meal, is what can save you from basic stomach issues,
- - - on & on & on - - - - -

thats 2 cents worth !

Google - for home remedies - http://www.grannymed.com

Its not restricted to foreigners you know, my own system for example, undergoes at least one spell of diarrhea per month, my mom insists that my "maida" is "kamzoor", but I think its just a process to clean up the system and flush out all the bad stuff once in a while. And proof of that fact is that medicines usually don't have effect on this problem, neither does strict perhaiz (at least for me, I just feel even more sick wanting to eat something but being prevented from eating it!). For foreigners its less cut and dry though, probably sticking to home made food is good idea for them.

This really brought back some horrible
memories. When I was visiting Pakistan
last summer, I made the unfortunate
choice to have some roadside food the
very second day of my arrival. Well, to
make a long story short, I ended up for
a week in Aga Khan with choelra and
gastroentitis. What's funny is that, in
all these years, this was the very first
time to have become seriously ill.

A funny memory of that week long stay at
AKUH is one of the male nurses attempting
to put a rectal catheter up my bum (ouch!!)
and asking me "dard toa nahin hora?"

I replied to him "nahin, nahin, bohat maza
ara hai, aur daba kay dalo...of course, dard
ho raha hai." LOL!

By the way, Jamal, your idea sounds interesting.
Must try it next month when I visit Karachi again.
