New Domino’s Outlet

http://karachi.metblogs.com/archives/images/2007/09/13092007-thumb.jpgDomino’s Pizza has opened a new outlet in Nursery area, few steps down the road from Subway. I am not sure if their timing is right since Ramazan is starting from tomorrow.

But after Ramazan we will have another option for food.

    The timing is exactly right. Ramadhan is the time when Pizza hut and all these other joints offer killer deals and make a lot of moolah.

    I dont get it why the hell are they opening their second branch,when the Clifton one is alrdy running into millions of losses(thru someone who works there).

    Their pizza tastes like shit, unless they localize the taste just like PH did, i dont see any future for them of Papas Johns here

    BTW I was in karachi last month and tasted both Pizza hut and Dominos and they both suck big time. I really did not want to eat pizza while in karachi because I am already tired of it but just wanted to check it out how much different they are then in US.
    I dont understand why ppl are willing to waste their money on these stupid chains and trying to show that they are cooll…They are so stupid all these stores serves poor/middle class in west..These places are used mostly by ppl who receive food stamps from Govt. and its so amazing that pakistani ppl proudly go to these places and spend thousands of rupees just for danm status….
    Eat katakat man that SOoooooooooo good

    @PIZZA SUCKS

    Dear, many people in Pakistan have not tasted the Pizza in the US, plus their is a taste difference in Pakistani’s and Americans.

    And the Pakistani cuisines in America sucks for the most part, but still people go there. Why? Because its different. Same with Pakistan. Pizza is not something that you usually cook in your homes.

    And as standards of living is concerned. Around Rs. 60 is equal to $1. You really want to discuss classes here?

    Dominos is staple food for college students in Ramazan in US :P …so yeah not really a bad idea to open in Ramazan. Have it for iftar…eat leftovers for sehri. Repeat till u get sick and vow never to eat pizza again. Mission accomplished :P

    people who think pizza is patla wala taftan with qeema, peyaz, mushroom aur paneer dal kar microwve mai taza kara… yes to them,

    the dominos’, pizza hut, etc etc would taste like C%^C*@(since it is food i would not say the bad word)

    Please google the history of pizza and basic hunger ideology behind it, only then you would be able to enjoy the Dominos’.

    Pizza Hut – yes since Pizza hut is orphaned by Manzar Riaz and adopted by Habib oil it is down and detriorating every day.

    Dominos’ is seriosuly working on developing EAT-In points and buds about pizza sure is coming up slowly,

    Those who travelled and studied in US now back home, they ASK Dominos’ 1st then Papa John Pizza Hut is the last choice, for them

    Dominos’ lagged behind only because they focused on delivery and takeaway, now they are working on EAT-In points and heading in better direction then before.

    @Kamran,
    I am not against ppl eating pizza in pakistan. the only thing which bothers me is that these pizzas are ridiculuosly priced in pakistan and they do it becasue of creating this danm status quo. And on top of that ppl take pride in eating this western food and paying huge amount for stupid BIGMAC.
    I know that Rs 60 = $1 but in US the minimum wage for labour is $7.50/hr. Do you know any Mazdoor making Rs 450/hr in Pakistan?? So these stupid foriegn food chains making thier furtune in Pak by selling food that is not worth more than a dollar in thier own country.
    I agree with you that pakistani food suck big time in America and it is pricy in most places but who eats there??mostly desi ppl not Americans but in Pakistan who is eating Pizza??All pakistanis not Americans…..

    “pakistani food suck big time in America and it is pricy in most places”. What is the reason behind pakistani food being pricy in US? I dont know but may be the same logic applies here (pizza being expensive compared to Biryani).
