Traffic rules to be followed –A hope
We observe a large number of old vehicles on the roads of the city in our daily life. Vehicles of 70’s, especially the “Kali peeli” taxis. All sort of old vehicles (and sometimes the not so old ones too) playing their part in polluting the not so clean enviroment of the city are ordered to be fined. (Although I remember such campaign was started an year ago which had died soon)
Reading this news it seems to be a revival of what could not be carried for long in the past.
With helmets to be worn necessarily by motorbike drivers, challans on talking on cell phone while driving, cars with illegal, fancy and AFR number plates, speed limits and now this polution friendly action to be taken and also with so any new roads and flyovers (Let’s hope the new ones are stable enough never to fall) supposingly, we are moving towards better traffic situation.
You have to see this face of evil and wake up Karachiites:

karachi’s population was 4 hundered thousand in 1947, according to CDGK current population is around 15million.
45THOUSAND PEOPLE COME TO LIVE AND WORK IN KARACHI EVERY YEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Can we stop this INFLUX, we got to have some sort of check on this migration.
do somethingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.
:) too good to be true for a dream.
@ MENSHEVIK… Are you crazy? We want more population in Karachi because currently Karachi is the 2nd most populous city in the world and 7th largest in area. It has full potential to become number one InshaAllah. In population and area.
So yes control population in other areas of Pakistan but please come to Karachi and the ones already in Karachi please have more sex and make more babies… Hurry please… thank you
Karachi will soon be WORLDS LARGEST & BIGGEST AAAAAAaaaaaaaa
MENSHEVIK: the problem of migrant influx into karachi can be resolved by giving other destinations to them to flock to. For the longest time, only karachi was considered the ‘land of opportunity’ in the country, if you give them (the people) an alternative, then so many might not flock 2 khi in the first place.
Talking about following traffic rules, today i saw a young guy in suzuki mehran going wrong way all the way UP one of the new loops for right turn at Hasan Square flyover. WTF!!! Doesn’t he know how risky it is that a car coming down even at a speed of 40-50 will not be able to stop in time because they won’t see him till the last moment, not to mention the pileup it could cause if there are more than one car coming down!!!! Is it really worth risking your life and money like this just to save a couple of mins, or is it to save a few drop of petrol??
@ Zag.. and then we say women are bad drivers :S
