Bomb blast hits “the” procession

Just heard a blast near our house (Sh-Faisal) and ran to watch TV. Minutes later it was announced that it was a bomb blast.
So far many have died and many more injured.Benazir Bhutto, is reported to reach home “safe and sound”. Appeals for the donation of blood are being made, if anyone can make it please do.
May Allah keep us and our beloved country safe and in His protection. Amen!

Our differences with Benazir aside, regretting that she survived this, even half-jokingly, is highly insensitive feeling to harbour at this time of grave tragedy. Those may have been PPP party workers that died, but they were still human beings who died. And they were scores and scores of them. Have some heart.

Benazir survived because they did not want to target her..PPP planned it very well to gain sympathy internally and internationally. Now no one will talk about her deal with Mush it will all be this incident that she will use during the election……Politics sucks in pak

I say enough with this crap apparently Musharraf has to do some thing in the interest of the country every day the law and order situation is getting out of hand its crazy and now this is going to get crazy I hope things don’t get as bad as it looks right now…I hope sanity prevails the court decides to send Ms. Bhutto back, Mushi puts into affect a Marshall law and tell the US to take a back seat and sort out our own issues before we deal with any thing else is it not the vow taken by all Armed Forces Personnel Pakistan First???? I know Mushi has done a lot but I thing its time to put our foot down… Again this is my opinion maybe other may disagree but I hope our generation feels the same and that its about time we saw some new faces besides the Nawaz’s and the Bhutto’s and the Maulvi’s…..May God bless our country and may sanity prevail my deepest condolences to the families of the one who lost their lives…And if any one of us is out there pls be safe…

    God help us.

Such acts should be condemned. The suicide bombing aside, what worries me the most is the attitude of the (so-called) educated people who comment on this blog. Can you have some heart please? Would you make fun of the situation the same way if one of your family members was amongst the dead and injured (God forbid)? What examples are we setting for our young ones, watching infront of the TV, seeing people dying, laughing and saying damn it BB survived again. Bomb blasts and human lives are no joke, wake up people before its too late!

And seems like the commenters on this blog know everything about who did it, how they did it and why. Can we stop speculating for a moment and probably do something for the injured like DONATE SOME BLOOD? Enough said. God bless us.

She is a clever politician. Politics on the blood of innnocent poor people. Involved in billions of money laundering and than she has the nerve to represent the poor in Pakistan. I wont be surprised if she orchesterd the whole thing to get sympathy vote. It is sad to see the innocent people die almost everyday in pakistan, while the corrupt leadership stays to suck the blood of the nation.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhir-raajioon…This is all drama and set up. These poor people were lured through money/food to this “qaflah” and now the bomb blasts were carried out so that the blame could be placed on others and in the future actions could be taken against the “prepatrators”. These people have no value these poor people’s lives. They are just fodder for their political gains.

I can already hear the cries of Bhutto: “Look people, the day I arrived I was targetted by these fundamentalists. Now, we need to go after them to ‘protect’ Pakistan.” This is exactly the drama carried out by Mush and Aziz.

Why is that the target is never actually hit and only people around the target die. Mush escaped (twice), Aziz escaped and now she escaped. All these attacks are carried out by themselves so that the blame could be placed on others to kill them in the future!

The fact that someone from NWFP called that Bhutto will be attacked has no bearing here. If they get this much access, they will finish the job. This is a SET UP. May Allah forgive those who died and enter them in Jannah.

as far as the reasons are concerned it is quite likely that it is a sympathy gaining measure. of course, she’s doing it to “help” the poor while they are the ones who will work hard and die while she gets powerful.this sort of shit leadership has brought our country to the dogs and i think that it is about time now that we change ourselves as waiting for people to change is like looking for a dry spot in the ocean.

100 more people …another laurel to Ms.Bhutto and General. Well planned and well executed that only innocent lost lives. Behind these 100 lives , there will be 1000 lives affected forever. Those 1000 lives may only get one meal a day for years to come…many will lose the roof from their heads… 200 kids will never be able to go to school, 100 girls will never get enough money to get married….They all paid a price for the corruption and cruelty of the ‘daughter of the east’..thats what ‘awaam’ do…and now 1000s of naive people will pray for her long life instead of praying for the ones who lost their everything for this country.
Life has to end oneday….so will it for you too Ms. Bhutto..and all involved…50 years more and 100 billion in swiss accounts….then what???

Ibrahim, I usually have a lot of respect for your views but this is the most dispicable comment you have ever posted on this blog. Before anyone could point the finger at the obvious perpetrators of this atrocity – fanatical mullahs opposed to women leaders – the very same people who said that they would blow away Benazir, you attempted to preempt the accusation by suggesting that she got her own supporters killed to gain popularity ? What an outrage ! And I thought you were one of the good ones.

I am not a Benazir supporter at all but my blood is boiling at this turn of events. This is war if there ever was one ! And there is going to not one word said against the animals from Waziristan by the entire opposition and the religious establishment.

  33. Kashif (unregistered) on October 19th, 2007 @ 5:12 am

The blame clearly goes on Benazir as she was aware of the potential attack yet she chose to travel by road, with a caravan, hence endangering lives of the poor, as always.

Sindh government is also to blame. They can put blockades to stop people from receiving their chief justice but are unable to secure a procession which clearly was on red alert.

All benefit goes to BB. She is a hero(ine) now.

Please pray for the dead. May Allah have mercy on them. (Ameen)

Since nobody was indulging in preemptive strike as the accusation was made, here is what I responded to Akif on ATP:

With all due respect, Akif, I don’t set my principles and views based on popularity and that who thinks I’m “one of the good ones” on this blog. And, this was no preemptive attack. I came to read the comments on Lost Pakistaniat, saw Minai’s comments, checked out Jang and wrote what I felt. I don’t go by the line of thought that “oh, before somebody blames someone else let me throw mud at a different direction hoping for some of it to stick”. I might be wrong but this is the shewa of others on this blog.

This is a somber moment and it’s somber every day in Pakistan. Let it go…I don’t want to argue this…

“neither MQM nor ISI can get a person to suicide blow themselves up. ”

Well i agree on MQM part. But why not ISI be behind this. And how can one prove if it was actually a suicide BOMB. Our ISI and intelligence agencies are the ones who provide their VERSION of the story to media.

ISI can be behind this in following two easy ways:-

    1. Plant the bomb, pick any dead head of a poor man and call it a suicide bomber’s head. When 150 men are killed in a blast, its easy to get a HEAD.

    2. It can assist AL-QAEDA in its plan. After all AL-QAEDA is ISI’s own child and the sympathy of ARMY with TALIBAN is hidden from no one. Its just that USA is kicking on our ARMYs ass that its staging a drama on WESTERN border. But even in that who is being killed ? The few thousand salary Jawans. So what does their life matters for our GHQ generals?. Bullshit. MUSH and AL-QAEDA have a common enemy , BENAZIR so why not patch up to get the plan done.

Then there are chaudhries as well who have deep rooted links in ISI as well. So guess what, the ISI and ARMY has everything to gain from this.

It’s a shame while other muslim countries are getting better and advanced like, Indonesia, Malasiya, Turkey, Morocco and Tunis, What’s happening in the this nation. You letting the mullah’s to decide the agenda of the day.I’m was born and raised in Sweden. However my blood and soul is pakistani. I dear love my country and want a Pakistan without extremists, Incomptent mullah’s and social injustice. First of start with cutting down the defense cost with 20% and spend the money on poverty and Education and on labour market and we will get a better country, “INSALLAH”
Don’t blame each other instead ask what YOU can do for the country. 1./ pay your taxes. 2./ teeach the real message of Islam. “LOVE FOR ALL HATRED FOR NONE” 3./Start community meetings and watchdog for each neighbourhood. Finally take personal responsibility and be real pakistanis.

    Dear brothers and sisters -
Its time for us to open up our eyes. To me it doesn’t matter who did it. The fact that it happened in our country and many innocent people died is a shame for all of us. Its hard for us to face others when they asked what happened in your country and who did it or how come it was so clear that there was a threat and your government couldn’t do anything to prevent it. Even Benazir Bhutto didn’t take any precaution knowing all the facts that she claims she did.
This is just simply ridiculous. Do they think that the people of pakistan are stupid? Whether its done by Mullahs or someone else, there is a clear signal that they don’t think that we Pakistanis have any brains or gutss to either understand or if we do understand our justice system or law and order system is not strong and dsciplined enough to follow through and bring the people who are accountable to justice.
A serious and mature thinking process needs to prevail in todays generation. Understand the root causes of this “Jahalat” and work together to address them and correct them. There is no one reason why our country is where it is. Illiteracy, Corruption, following religion blindly without understanding the essence, lack of unity….to name a few…

Benazir Bhutto plotted that bomb it self for popularity in poor public because she was loosing popularity but that kind of incident created public favors for her and now she made a big vote bank in Pakistan, local government MQM also fully supported Benazir for this fitna but poor public still they are blind they don’t understand this fitna.

You know who got the maximum benefit of this killings by Bomb Blast………….Only Benazir. I am sure BB, his spouse Asif Zard and Rehman Malik with support of Mush this BOMB BLAST WAS PLANNED. Look why BB went down the truck’s lower part when device detonated……….. Answer is simple. She knew the time of the blast and as predetermined plan she ducked down and resuced. All this perpotrated to achieve Cheap Popularity and get the impression about hers ambitions to fight against Islamists.

When the dust will settle down people started to realizing it the depth of this nasty game.

Innocent people died, who went to welcome BB believing she would deliver to them.

She just comes back to kill more innocent muslims with the help MQM and USA.

Karachiites. This is a great henious plot against Mulsim nation and people f Pakistan BE WARE. CONDEMN BOMB BLAST BUT CONDEMN BENAZIR plot. Think.think little bit more.

In my opinion this bomb blast may or may not have been planned by Bhutto. Indeed the very fact that Benazir went inside the armored part of the truck raises serious questions about who actually planned the bombing. I will not point fingers at anyone though, let us pray that the true perpetrators are found and punished.

I do not think that we should blame America, the MQM or even the Pakistani government before getting the facts. Furthermore, I disagree with the above post suggesting that Bhutto’s return is an ‘Anti-Muslim plot’ – I feel that America and Pakistan, as well as many other countries (even Iran) are using religion to get material benefits – oil, money, etc.

They don’t care about religion, they care about themselves. Observe that a major percentage of oil lies in the middle east, hence America uses ‘Islamism’to justify it’s crimes in the region – this is not a crusade this is an economic war under the facade of religion!

Furthermore observe Latin America, and particularly communist nations. All nations that have been a threat to America’s domination over the world economy have been portrayed as evil or tyrannical – Communism, Latin American sentiment, the Viet Cong, the Taleban (may I add that in the Russo-Afghan war the Taleban were praised by the US!), Iran, etc have all been picked on – and what America does is attack the most unique aspect of the target nation’s society – whatever will infuriate them, or hurt them is attacked – religion is a major aspect of society in this part of the world, so religion is attacked – this can also be said for the attack on Communism, Fascism and any norms or values that America does not agree with.

Nevertheless let us not hate others – we are all Human beings, we should not let anger make us inferior to our ‘enemies’ – for as Buddha said, “Holding on to anger is like holding on to a piece of hot coal with the intention of throwing it at someone else, it is you who gets burned”

Reflect over these words. (For the record I am a Muslim, and yes I admire Buddhist philosophy.)

About 19 October bomb blast and BB and her company’s role in this act of brutality, I made my point on October 21, 2007 about the BB involvement in this act. Today, Chudhry Shujaat Hussain also confirmed my point in Hamid Mir’s Capital talk on Geo TV (Oct 22 2007) and he said that BB herself was involved. This is the fact and a bitter reality.

Today, UN security Council adopted a resolution against Krasaz bomb blast. Is it really so much serious event that UN bothers to go to that extent………….Reasons, being that BB took with her a mandate of US and western allies to strengthen Pakistani army to fight aganist all true Islamic forces and specailly to get them ready against IRAN.

BB, knew when bomb would blast and she ducked down few minutes before the bomb blast, Why she went down ??

This was not a suicidal attack………it ws planted bomb in white car near the BB truck.

Please review the Geo and ARY video clippings. It can claerly visulized that white car caught in fire which is about 5 to 6 meters away from the truck. If this would have been the suicidal attack, bomber would tried his best to reach nearer to the truck to get the most successful results. but that was not the case. Suicidal bomber would not detonate his bomb hastily without reaching to the target.

Chudhary Shaujjat Hussain, could be the leader of the principles less lot but I know he could be any thing but anti islamist and anti Pakistani. BB loves Pakistan if she rules the country otherwise Pakistan is nothing but a place for dirty poors.

There are three forces working in harmony against Pakistan, Mush+Bush and governments of western world and now they have the local puppy, MQM. All these regimes are anti islam and anti mulsim regimes. Unfortunately all have been working strongly in our country and people are helpless. TRUE PAKISTANI

TRUE PAKISTANI, you are everything that is wrong with Pakistan and Islam. You make a preposterous comment, ‘anti islam and anti mulsim’ are muslims not followers of Islam or am I missing something here. Pk is it’s own worst enemy, you don’t need a worse reputation than you already have, people like you should be quiet, very quiet, so you don’t make it worse. Your enemy already exists within your own borders you don’t need any outsiders to blame. Look in the mirror and repeat after me, ‘If I am not part of the answer, I must be part of the problem’ murdering everyone who speaks out against what you ‘think’ you believe and your precious Pk, than the world will be nothing more than a bunch of arrogant men all praying for help, when you can’t even get along with each other. Stop moaning you feckless human and educate yourself that you get what you deserve. Change your thinking and your life will change for the better, otherwise you are doomed. Their are no virgins waiting for you, you silly man!
