engineKarachi will soon have a new train called Bhambore by the end of October that will allow travel up to Pindi for a very affordable Rs 555, says Daily Times. You can visit the website of Pakistan Railways and make use of their ‘E-Ticketing’ facility. (Note: The e-ticketing site do not allow you to have/take more than two children! Talk about consistency in Government’s policies :)

interesting! one more thing you dont have to stand in line or pay a black marketeer for!

however, if you work the site, you’ll notice that the same seat is being sold for two SEPERATE prices!

for example, on the khi-lhr Karakoram express train on Nov 1, the fare for a AC Lower is listed as both 1412 and 2100 whereas economy is listed as 803 and 719……

i guess they still have to work out the kinks in the system..

    Good catch brother …

I remember some times back i need to reserve tickets for some friend and i tried my hard to reserve it availing the e-ticketing facility … but in the end i had to buy it from City station.

hope things will improve in years to come.

Just a thought – maybe kid #3 and onwards under 12; either travels free or stays home ;).

E-Ticketing is a nice start but they need to work more on the website.

Also one can’t buy ticket for 3+ adults.

The site administrator need to get an expert programmer so s/he can implement the computer algorithm effectively which deals with passenger numbers.

Get yourself and your family a farm and some life sustaing place.
soon most of us will not be able to afford any of it. Dollar is crashing now. Life in the cities will be most effected. Prepare yourself and save your families. We are in TITANIC and believe it or Not, this ship will sink, myfriends. The Global economy is crashing. Thye said it will be in 3rd or 4th quarter. Today the oil got over $90. Live near a farmland and buy a cow or goat for milk and near running water.

What I do not get is, why does every train have Express as part of its name.

Could it be due to lack of better names, lack of imagination, lack of cerebral matter or just beacuse of laziness.

With most trains in pathetic condition and lacking speed and efficiency the word “Depress” comes to my mind as being more apt instead of Express.

well i think that government should start local trains rather than these kind of services.
