A Deadly Combination?

Who is Responsible?, originally uploaded by Raja Islam.

Over crowded motor bikes are a common sight in Karachi, I’ve seen families of up to six members ride with quite impunity. Even under-age driving isn’t all that uncommon. But over-crowded motor bikes and under age drivers combined also with no helmets, now that is one deadly combination of traffic law violations. This is a great capture from Raja Islam (as usual), but its quite scary the way the kiddo driving is not even looking at the road! How come his parents allowed him to venture out on the roads for such a dangerous adventure? And that too not alone but with no less then four other juvenile pranksters along side him! What’s your bet for the average age of these kids? They can’t be more than 10-13 surely?

If we all can come out of our protected environment, then we can chill out, and let others do the same.

Or if u can handout them helmets and cars and what not, then go ahead

they’re modern karachiite kids, if they do it it’s gotta be modern..who gives a shit about us losers here in north america, right?

you can’t even be sure if it’s their own father’s bike..fine the kids’ parents or lash them, that’s our only hope

We had a horrible experience with kid bikers. Last year, someone just rammed head on into our car. there were 2 kids on bike. our car was heavily damaged..bonnet all messed up. magically kids weren’t seriusly injured. our driver wanted to beat the crap out of them, but my mother intervened…if i remember correctly,..one of them was smiling..after all that..

They should be caught and put in protective custody until parent show up, and put them in jail for child neglect(may be they do not need these kids)but then our court ha ha chief will order them to be released on his sou motto action!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, in their defense, boys just wanna have fun.
Sure what they did was outright stupid, but ever so often it is such stupid things which are fun, and more often than not, its these stupid things you remember. This isn’t to say that they could’ve gotten themselves killed. Heck, they were a hazard to themselves and others… but its seems like it was a one time joy ride, so lets just cut them some slack.

If we start pin pointing every little thing… we’re just becoming the fabled big brother.

The worst these kids can do is hurt themselves or may be a pedestrian…not worst than the likes of wasi dafar, galt biyyani and shortcut aziz running the country…

Wow! Cute kids…but open-toed sandals and no helmets? I would hate to be their mother if they crashed.

These kids are having fun and that’s the best thing I am having a flashback of my time. Hope they not get into accident or any trouble. As far as Helmets, law, rules…etc these are not for karachites…:)

Again ignorance plays a major role here. Lack of education shows it’s head. Lack of religious understanding also plays a part in this.

With most people erroneously believing that it is forbidden in Islam to use contraceptives. With no other venues to take out their frustrations they hump their wives.

Keeping women prisoners and subjugated, they ensure the ownership of an incubating machine right at home. Poor women

Classic Pakistani family in other words.

You can buy a bike at Rs. 1000/month……….

What else do you expect. Maybe the kids pooled their pocket money from their bribe-taken father and got h bike themselves. And if I am not wrong this pic is from right in front of the CM house.

Who to blame? Parents? Banks? Govt.?

No Comments because I disagree with author and on KMB disagreement means, chopping your head off.

    God bless Nazism-Amen

if it’s their own father’s bike

@Ali: A week back I read in Jang that out of two million bikers, 1.8 million don’t have license in Karachi.

Bozz, how are contraceptives relevant to 4 kids having a good time?

  20. iD (unregistered) on November 3rd, 2007 @ 8:45 am

If I were you, I would have stopped them and taken the keys and go home
    It’s not the kids fault
It’s the ignorant sitting at their home!
