“Question For A Difference”

We often see young underage children riding bikes and driving cars recklessly on the streets, posing a danger to their lives and others.

Why do you think we as the citizen’s of Karachi should do about it ?

With the effectiveness of people’s “sources”, there is little one can do even if we catch such people. Sure we can raise awareness, do campaigns n stuff … but since when do these people listen? In short, no one respects the law and if the police can’t enforce it, neither can we.

Then they will educate the citizens through direct contact, through media, through signs and through driving schools/classes with professionalism.

Hire only local people as police officers who know local (street) language.
Take expertise of foriegn (eg Singapore etc.) police for professionalism training if you have to.
If I want to make an opinion about any city I look at their police (appearance and professionalism)

We have to start at the grassroots level. Educate our own Pakistani Society (policemen & civilians all included) about ETHICS … which was actually the job of parents.

LAW exist – enforcement does not.

Join hands with police to Enforce law, and we can all see the difference.

Believe me they need OUR help to uphold the law.

Hire local* educated persons in Police service. It will make a difference. Make parents liable for underage driver actions. Charge them with heavy fines and use it to educate school kids and tell them the consequences it brings to them and to others. Police person can go to schools with real accidents photographs. Lot of times these kids don’t know what they are getting into. It won’t eliminate the problem but will minimize the cases.

    * By local, I mean to whom Karachiites can relate to not someone who just got a Karachi domicile.
