Website of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town

Here’s another attempt of the local governments to be one step closer the general public. Town Local Government of Gulshan-e-Iqbal has launched its website. Although the site could use a little help in designing, it provides good information about different aspects of the town. Now you can directly email your town nazim through the website. I do hope he checks his emails regularly. A few broken links were a bit disappointing but overall it is a commendable move towards e-governance.

It’d be nice if you could provide the URL while talking about the website.

1.2 million people live in Gulshan alone so a website is a great idea. The domain name isn’t very nice though. Much too long. Just would have sufficed.

BTW how about editing the post and adding the URL?

It would be good if they can put up maps of construction dumps around the town as well as possible diversion routes. I don’t think people will go to this site for forex rates and weather.

    This is good :
” The Town Administration has decided to fine people who throw garbage on roads and streets and warned the residents to avoid doing so to keep the area clean. “
