Map it with Naqsha.net

Good news for those who have been looking for online map of Karachi.

Naqsha.net aims to provide interactive maps of Karachi. I didn’t get a chance to check it out because the required plugin is not installed on my browser (and my office network wouldn’t allow it), but from the looks of it I feel it is a promising project. I know it won’t be anything like Google Maps but having something local is still a big deal.

Check it out.

The main drawback of this application is that it works with IE only since it used adobe svg viewer plugin. I got chance to contact the developer of the system a month back and he told me that he was working on non-IE version as well. Overall, it’s a good attempt.

*simply drive to Empress Market Saddar

**** I hate to take things out of context, but there is no such things as ‘driving simply’ to Empress Market. You can’t walk, dirve, ride to Empress Market without risking your life…..
