(Yet Another) CNG Price Increase

I filled up the CNG tank in my car for the first time after the BB attacks, and found that from today they have raised the price Rs 2.5 per KG (now up to 36.00/kg from 33.50/kg). Anyone aware what prompted this increase? According to this link, it is due to petrol surplus by local refineries!

The petrol price has increased internationally. Now they’ll increase the petrol retail price here too (15th jan maybe), so the govt wants to cash in on the new wave of CNG kits installations and CNG consumption.

I hope people will switch to alternative fuels like ethanol and hydrogen really soon.
