thankyou kids for trying to rekindle the flame again....i think the faith or ones belief cannot change the facts of life or the harsh realities...it only differentiates between the dead and and the living.....
iam not aware of whats going on in other parts of the city i can only update about the jamshed town here the game of tugs is no longer fun...since they are not giving up on the annual standred issue and my habitual consent for the rampant illegal constructions here...has burst the ancient utensil for storing water....the Binoris moved out from here years ago to the out-skirts hoping that i will seek refuge some day and the Makro has opened there in case i change my mind.....God save the King...or whatever!

The lord believes in equal opportunities and the banks are changing our lifes rapidly through leasing cars and free access loans...so it seems that iam the only one left who is biased

kuch iss ada sey aaj woh pehlu nashein rahey
jab tak hammarey pas rahey hum nahein rahey...

I think few MQM londaas might be doing this on their own. But as I hear from credible sources, Altaf bhai and team did ask MQM foot soldiers to stay off, and let ppl loot what they want.

MQM has a lot of arms and arsenals, and ppl who know how to use them. They could have prevented this widespread loot and plunder by these lucha lafangas. But they didn't. I suspect the mardood-in-chief Musharraf ordered Altaf bhai to lay off.

But defence is everyone's responsibility. Buy a weapon and kartoos, and keep them handy in these times. Altaf bhai is sissy. Years of marriage with that moti and then this divorce has made him na-mard

Alam Ara,
On those fateful days, I did make a few phone calls few times to typical bhayyaa localities of Karachi and was told by the women answering phone that MQM's launDaas are indeed hanging on main roads to stop looters from entering mohallas. When I said that in kambakhat maaro'n kay paas kyaa bandookhai'n bhee hai'n, I was told by them, haa'n bhayaa haa'n.

Jokes aside, yes I did make those calls and yes I was told that MQM launDaas are out with g u n s protecting mohallaas. Obviously, they could not go out on main Drigh Road with those guns.

Basic solution to such problems...as I said almost twnty years ago on Internet, fire all police in Karachi. This will cut down crime rate in Karachi. Twenty years later, I will add - hire police from local population. Why bring police from Kohat, when we have local ghundaas?
Remember, ghundaa bhee apnay mohallay may shareef ho jaataa hae..... and that is the bottom line.

@SAVER

u sissies can cry all u want, but just dont block roads. Its extrememly invovenient. Its a requirement of basic ettiquest. Civilized ppl don't cry on open streets and block other ppl.

Now, ppl can cry and block roads foro religous or non-religous reasons. Both should be condemned

Its just appaling to read a few comments made by utterly immature people.
1. Commemorating Moharram is not just done by the shia community but a large part of Pakistani's, irrelevant of what sect they belong to.
2. Crying or Rona Peetna is a natural and a personal reaction to grief. I wonder how many people saw the videos that poured in after the assasination of BB with people crying and beating them selves in grief. And even the Prophet, PBUH, has shed his tears at a number of occassions.
