Interesting prospective Tee, good way to see glass half full. By the way, it doesn't matter if you work hard or not, Trans fat is bad for health for every one, especially that greasy substance that we call ghee. It's ironic, & I never understood the fact that how come we protest, march, almost burn our own city for some corrupt, dishonest & ruthless politicians but never get united & protest against the very basic right of our existence. How many times have you seen a massive rally against corruption, food shortage, price hikes? No body torch those food stockiest who play stock exchange game with the very basic mean of survival of masses.
We never saw a nation wide boycott of certain commodities which are dispensable like Tea for example. We never saw any nation wide campaign to promote simplicity in our life style. In this mind blowing price hikes, you still find those high profile restaurants & food courts jam pack. Of course the proportion of such people & places are very low if compared to the rest of the society but it certainly reflects the trend & also promote corruption & provide reason to do ANY THING to get that flashy, extravagant lifestyle.

@Zee, Bro you are talking about pakistani people. Since when we have "Tom , Dick and Harry". It would be much realistic if it is "Every Saleem, Naeem & Majeed"

I will never support the price hike when it comes to food. Every tom dick and harry has come close to form a union to work against mushy. Pathetic but sad. Also the fact is that Mush is not doing a good job when it comes to controlling the price factor. Fact is fact and better accept it then to deny it. He must do something about this or else it will really take him down forever bring Pakistan on the verge of total destruction.

when petrol prices started to go up majority thought that there will be less of traffic., it happened vice versa.

I have overheard a Toyota Premio driver yelling at Cultus Oyee CNG eik taraf ho ja keyon traffic mai TEHAL Raha hai petrol par chal sab kai sath chal...! ( hey cng user give way to traffic why walkin in park use petrol and be in the flow)

The price hikes & differences is not affecting people., rater the effects are visible in increasing number of sucides, extortion, UPPER class domestic sexual corruption, etc etc

NEED of time is Massive crash pilot programs at all level to elevate education and basic health awareness.

The silver lining from this post seems quite contrived.... transfats r bad, pollution from cars using petrol/diesel/cng is bad, sugar gives u diabetes, carbs make u fat, etc etc. Anyway, keep up ur positive attitude, the future might not weigh so heavily on u.

Let there be freedom of choice to eat and drink what we like. This is no way of controling the use of excessive trans fats. Those who do not need excessive fat will continue to use it since they will still be able to afford it. Those who need it will not be able to use it since they will not be able to afford it.
I personally use very little oil for health reasons. I get surprised when I see lavish use of butter and oil for cooking various dishes on cooking programs of various TV channels-not only Desi channels but also western channels like BBC Food.
