The candidate in my constituency is the dynamic Haider Abbas Rizvi, one of the exciting young leaders brought forward by MQM, who have contributed so much in the past years. He was the one who camped in Muzaffarabad and led the rescue efforts their, he also played a major role in initiating satellite mapping of Karachi.

An ex-KU student, very well read, well travelled with an uncanny knack for poetry. My family made in time for elections and will be voting for him.

On a side note, my apologies of bringing this up here, but here is an example that will show you how single minded journalistic expedience, can cause embarrassment to a reputed newspaper such as dawn;

Expensive CDGK park in land-grabber's grip
http://www.dawn.com/2008/02/10/local3.htm

Bagh-e-Rustom funded by family trust
http://www.dawn.com/2008/02/13/local11.htm

When I read the first article it looked so believable, I really felt a tinge of anger, but the subsequent apology reveals that the park has been given to Cowasjee Family by CGDK, and they are maintaining it. WOW! I wonder if it was not Cowasjee, would DAWN have apologized.
