Hello world, Pakistan is back!
New Party in Pakistan
The results clearly indicate that MQM has got the majority in Karachi , many people are saying that polling stations were empty so how come MQM gets so many votes , the problem is that these people visited the polling stations when these were empty , these people whould have visited the polling stations when voters were casting votes so they could have seen the polling stations filled with voters , simple as that. Now moving further we all should engage in discussion that how can the successful candiddates of MQM work for Karachi , improve the conditions of the city and what development work should be done by these MNAs , there is no point in crying and shouting that MQM has won , the reality is that MQM has won the elections and this is not the first time , they are gaining majority in Karachi from the last 25 years , I just had a chance to visit one of there rally last year which was held against the Lal Masjid mullahs and there was a whole ocean of people , people fom all walks of life , from all age groups , from all religious and ethinic back ground , it is rightly said that MQM is the party of the masses , so now all KMB readers lets move forward and post your advices that what work should be done by these MNAs to solve the problems of Karachi.
I agree with the commentor above me , the people who mostly bark against MQM are the BURGER PARTY because these burger kids know very that if MQM given a chance would work more and more for Karachi and for the middle class in paticular , this is what these burgers and fuedals hate they dont want any one living a good and comfortable life as they are living
The authors of KMB who have a habbit of writting against MQM should now resign from this blog after MQM has got a vast victory here in Karachi because this is the same demand u people were making too Mushraf after the restoration of Ch.Iftikhar
MQM are true representatives of their constituencies.Karachi voters are not easily moved by emotional manipulation.Feudals keep their constituents illiterate in order to maniupulate them and get rich while the people get poor.I fear for Pakistan dark times are coming ahead.
God Bless MQM
God save Pakistan
thanks for this comprehensive post am currently out of pk land and really appreciate your effort..
observation: MQM got 5 times more votes as compared to 2002 elections on almost all seats(keep in mind 12 may 2007,edhi center seige etc etc)..
my question:has MQM really gotten 5 times more popular in karachi ever since 2002 or was it the handywork of MQM’s foot soldiers or maybe some god sent help?
Dear Respected MQM followers above:
Please go back and read history. It is change that is imminent. There is nothing proud about voting 10 times by activists and getting your goon elected.
The people of Karachi always elected the same people because of the ethinic affiliaion. It the always the people of other provinces who have brought about a change in the country and elected office bearers irrespective of their cast or ethinicity.
@Dubai Keh Bhia Log
You have completely lost your senses , in 2002 elctions MQM gave ticket to some Sindhi scholar from the seat of Altaf Hussain in Azizabad , the name of this Sindhi as far as i remember was some thing like Brohi , did’nt nawaz sharif raised the slogan "JAG PUNJABI JAG TERE PAG NO LAG GAYA DHAAG" , i think u need to study the history.
"The Muttahida Qaumi Movement will decide its future course of action whether to join a coalition or sit in opposition ‘within 48 hours’, after consultation from members of the party."
Altaf bai meditating..
Oh ho, where are you roaming around Doctor, same KHAPIA WORK. It was peaceful during your absence.
I like the slogan of MQM
"JO JEETA USKAY SATH"
(be it army, kings party, or both the other parties who have acrried out operations against MQM)
I don’t know why MQM use little unfair means during polls. They can win otherwise too…Urdu speakers only vote for them mostly, although they are the enemies of their own people. Still if u guys see the current results…they only got selected from Urdu speaking areas of Sindh…though they had their candidates from over 100 NA seats. So they shud mend their ways and revert back to their roots. Also both the factions shud be united and Altaf "bhai" shud resign and give leadership to new people.
@ Wegde
MQM had a sure chance of winnin seats from Sukher & Sanghar districts of sindh and some areas of Southern Punjab (Siraykee people)
But the killing of Benazir lost them the seat of Interior sind and 12 May Incident(regardless of whoever was responsible) lost them the seat in Punjab!
there were also some chances in Baluchistan !!!
Atleast MQM posted increase in Sindhs seat this time!
In NA seats increased Almost 50 % from 16[2002] to 25[2007] (19 from regular seats, 5 Women seats & 1 minority Seat: Source http://www.dawn.com/2008/02/20/top1.htm)
hope for better luck next time! :)
There have been news circulating on every news channel that there was low turn out as compared to 2002 elections!!!
the above statistics negate this !!
I dont know what these media groups have got against Karachi !!
keep in mind !
Dawn TV initially reported that over all turn out in Karachi was close to 60%!!
The election trend clearly shows that every one vote for their Community.
Sindhis vote for Sindhis, Punjabies Vote for Punjabies, Pathans Vote for Pathans(even in karachi too) and Mohajirs vote for Mohajirs and we are heading towards polarization
This is after so long that the term "Mohajir" has come out from the urdu speaking communities of sindhis. I feel sorry for those socalled educated people of Karachi that they dont sense the physical reality and political reality.
