@AlifNoon: Has it occured to you that he might have been killed by his own people becuase he had become a liability or possibly repneted his past with MQM criminals.
As for energy buy solar generation stand alone units. they are the best choice. Or buy gas powered generators

Whenever I hear someone talking about our reliance on Allah in such matters it makes my cry and laugh at the same time. And then I pray O Allah save us from your ignorant followers. Ameen.

or we have one other option!!

like what the people of gwadar did last summer when their power went out..... they burned downed the power plant!!

so lets burn down the KESC Power plants!!!!

may be they will build something better or get a power line from Iran...like they did for gwadar.:)

during summers the people run their AC's after going home at night. during the last few years the numbers of AC's have multiplied many times so the power needed to run them has increased.

may industries have 24 hours shifts.

plus the people of karachi are chors/thieves of the 1st degree. almost 40% lines losses????? unbelievable!!!!!

and mind you the 38-140% figure is the foofical one, the real line lossed are close to 50%. line losses includes theft!

one other major factor is planning. the load estimate given by people e.g when making a house is very low. after the house is made 3-4 or more AC's are installed so the area transformers cannot handle it.

people have to be open and give the correct estimates. imagine a few thousand extra AC's in ur area then the load estimated at the time of planning when the load for the area was first calculated!

it's a two way street. KESC is not the only one to be blamed. the thing is there is no such thing as a free lunch.

if you see a kunda, don't just laugh and move on. do something about it. if you don't then think of it when your power goes out the next time.

these lacks of kundas and industiral thefts are 80% of the problem.

do u think the private owners are idiots of increasing the power generation when they know a majority of it will be stolen anyways!

@FAHMED

"all the days you mentioned above are public holidays and most of the industry is also closed on those days so the govt has excess power."

So there should be no load shedding after 10pm in normal days also. or sundays even. but this is not the case

@Tariq Khanani

" strange thing i have noticed is that government commits no load shedding on some national events like Moharram and recent elections. And they do fulfill their commitment. But how??? arent we short of 300-400 MW..."
