The project is definitely excellent, and no matter how long it takes, it would be of great benefit to the Karachites. One thing just bothers me is that why don’t they think of Lyari in such development projects, isnt it a part of Karachi,Sind,Pakistan?

I am always delighted to see plans of Mass Transit and Rapid Bus Sevice which is a must for any Mega City. Karachi will never have its Traffic Problems solved until we have these systems in place. I wish very best wishes for such plan. Hope that we will have them soon on ground. Every Mega City in the world has these systems. Go and see DC and the underground rail system is never visible, you can just feel it with the DHAR DHAR of the train but yet making a huge differnce. Hope to have traffic sense in the people as well. Small streets and singles every where which are hall marks of the cities but not much traffic jam. Again another wish to come true. Important point is that we are improving. MASHALLAH SAY

660 Million USD is a huge amount.

we alreay have the rail network of the old system which connects almost all the routes mentioned in the new project.

y not just put new track and start that system. it may take less then half the time and much less then half the cost.

what will happen when many busses are burnt in the next roits?

Now we are talking!
I have been saying this that they need to run rail cars in the city on special tracks. One rail car after the other like trains every 5 or 10 minutes.
Underground trians are not a good idea specially where people have suicidal tendancies.

@SHAFQAT DADA…just one thing, why is your whole message in caps ?

As for the bus system, if it works, it’ll be great. Would this reduce the normal mini buses on the street? Cause those things are horrible..polute like crazy, and they drive like crazy
