Happy April Fools to everyone here

Yes we at KMB must delightfully admit that the post made by Sean ^[1] earlier today was indeed an April fools joke on our readers. Probably the most convincing and believable argument that got many of our readers enlisted in the KMB Hall of Fools was the bickering and squabbling argument, which had many perplexed if truly the shut down notice was more closer to reality than a joke.

Throughout the day we saw three types of people, the first set of our readers actually saw through the trick and remained convinced that this was indeed a prank, the second batch of readers fell for the twist but later realized that it was a trick being played on them, after all it was 1st of April, but it seems that most of our readers slowly gravitated from the first two groups into the third group to actually start believing the argument presented by Sean, as it genuinely made sense coincidence or not the facts appeared to be valid enough for a dismissal. It was somewhere early afternoon that we felt the urge to innocently ‘help convince‘ the non-believers, resulting in an interesting screen capture spoof ^[2] which showed a disabled account of Teeth Maestro unable to log into the Karachi Metroblog system

The team had to really juggle with the comments, it was a deliberate team decision to close off comments on all our main April fools posts [including the Saudia Arabia brings light to Karachi through underwater pipeline ^[3] post] so that any anxious commenter did not spoil the fun for any wandering n00b landing on the blog. What became a genuine concern a few hours into the prank was when some of our readers started using ^[4] other ^[5] posts ^[4] for communicating their April fools theory, we had to scramble and plug these loops holes and ‘temporarily unapprove‘ those comments leaving untouched the ‘innocent’ comments more so as a bait for those cats willing to be killed by the curiosity bug.

A shout out to the entire Karachi Metroblog team Inspriex, Mansoor, Unaiza, Kurt, Farrukh, Khurram, Jamash, MB, Cy, Zainub, Tee Emm, Rabia, Faisal K, Afreen, Nadir, Raja, Batty, Sid, Reba, Uzi and myself [Teeth Maestro]. I assure you we remain a big happy family with NO fights and squabbles to bore you guys with.
