Sometime back, I was jolted awake at around 2:30 at night by heavy firing that seemed inside my house. While scarred and tip-toeing, I reached my father’s room and found him to be relatively calm. He told me that the firing was from the house just behind ours as a wedding celebration at the reception of baraat.

2 nights ago, the same thing happened, this time at a wedding lawn very close to our house. I was obviously very calm this time, but the fact that we have lunatics amongst us that have no concerns of any sick or old people, and who think they’re ‘cool’ by using arms and unsafe fireworks in residential areas in the dark hours of night is disturbing at the very least. I felt if only I knew some sort of ‘bhai log’ that could pull their ears…………
