Why in Karachi?

Gates of DHA

This might sound like a new series, and may even be grounds for one. I am trying to highlight weird structures/systems within the city that might serve no purpose at all yet are there, for some reason, to make a statement.

This is an automated gate installed at Khayaban e Ittehad, DHA.

Why does this busy road have an automatic barrier?

actually the road goes all the way to sea view and sometimes (like new years eve etc.) you’ll see the barriers down as to restrict the traffic from entering defense and keep the noise levels down.

They’ll also add barriers like containers on the road to insure that the traffic does not enter into the defense streets.
