Sindh Police planning ‘low intensity operation’

Ever since Suddle took charge it seems Karachi-related news does include his name almost daily now. THE NEWS reports low intensity operation being planned by Sindh Police to control crimes.Crime Stats

“The Sindh Police, under its new chief Dr Shoaib Suddle, are putting its act together to launch a “low intensity operation” against terrorists, kidnappers, extortionists and miscreants.” Read complete story

While past mistakes need not to be repeated, it is hoped that this operation would be without any discrimination else it would just be another of the typical eye-wash acts our gov. do every time they come into power.

    Good Post!!!!
High, Medium or Low – it’s the duty of the state as promised by the constitution to protect her ‘subjects’, provide safety and maintain law and order. Unfortunately, it’s the other way around and police is used to ‘harass, kidnap and at times are used to create tensions’.

I brand a criminal as a criminal – no criminal is a Mohajir, Punjabi, Pashtoon, Sindhi or Baloch; he’s just a criminal and any action against such criminals are welcomed (it the action of the police is not politically motivated).

For the optimists – dawn and the news reports that Rehman Malik and the universal ambassador of Pakistan Irshad Haqqani went into the NAB offices and personally supervised burning of all records (evidence) against them.

And i’m sure those terrorists, kidnappers etc are all Muhajirs!

@kiranchiite you r one friggin dirty racist! you have no right to malign Muhajirs for crimes committed by MQM’s Altaf bai and his terrorist gang

PPP’s Mazharul Haq says that terrorists involved in 9 April carnage will be given an exemplary punishment (we all know who is involved in that massacre) so don’t be surprised if MQM’s farooq bai(live from terrorist HQ Nine Zero) starts whining and babbling about its terrorists being apprehended by police in coming days

    Charity begins from home!!!!
In yet another strange move by PPP led government – GoP has made a summary to pardon and revoke all cases filed against people involved in rioting (mostly PPP workers in interior Sind and a mix of Pashtoons and Sindhis in Urban Sindh) post Benazir Bhutto(s) assassination on 27th of December, 2007 in which more then 35 people lost there lives and Pakistan had to suffer $5.2 billion of financial loss.

The present government has not only lot of skeletons packed (thanks to the NRO) but is intoxicated by the newly formed power. Somehow they have not learned the lesson and are going towards the path of destruction.

Although I have strong reservations against Nawaz Sharif(s) clan, the PML (N) but I have to admit that these folks are actually the ‘principled’ lot. There attitude is refreshing.

Again, I think we should move towards politics of reconsolidation rather then opting for politics of fender-bender; such moves would be welcomed by ‘Na-Pak Fauj’ and elements which wants to see further destabilizing of this country.

kiranchiite am sure you have no idea what is defination of Muhajir.

the MOB leader in london adopted it to malign the people,.

80% in Karachi are Muhajirs., flocking the bus-stations, railway stations, airports at festive season to be home with their near & dear ones.

laraib (probabaly the most expensive place) told me they can get original titles for rs 3500. considering blue -ray title go for ~$30 in the u.s, rs 3500 is still high but rs 8000 ($130) is bordering on ridiculous.

  11. khirocks on April 22nd, 2008 @ 4:58 am

And I thought DVDs in Pakistan were cheap! These prices are very high and not comparable with the international retail prices of blue ray movies.

Thanks guys for your comments, much appreciated.

why dont these people in power in karachi look at the goths and the kacthi abadis. they are the hubs for these street crime people and i am sure that these officials are aware of this. most of the looters on 27th and the following days were from these areas. most of the maids working in our houses can give testimonials that there brothers and sons and all went out looting after seeing the situation on tv and that there were no police stoping them. what about the famous rehman dacaoit and arshad papo(forgive me if ur reading this guys nothing personal) the government can do so much in there favor but cant seem to control the still no go areas of layari and the other abadis like that. i only hope that the zamers of our authorities arises and they seriously nuke these places to control terrorist activities in karachi.

i lived near pehelwan goth,at 27th Dec,saw myself all goth people come out at road with danda and stones to break any vehicles coming at front of our society. my bro car glasses broken.

i think,no power party who is governing, do add -ve to own party in their goverence era.
at 27th Dec, it’s not MQM and at 9th Apr,again it’s not MQM but other power who want MQM to get worst label.

  14. xoid on April 26th, 2008 @ 12:36 am

i am not pro mqm nor pro ppp nor any other party for that matter. i have personally seem the dark side of all these gangs if i am allowed to say it.
they exploit uneducated ppl. well thats another threads material so ill stop. continuing on this thread i wana ask what happened about the infamous rehman dacoit who was suppose to be in police custody and the news ran on all major channels some time back why was he let go who did that. no answers for such questions. well ive got a point of view and wana share it. its because all the gangs are related some how to these political parties because they do the dirty work for them. so how do u expect them to lauch an operation on these gangs when if caught there pool pati will open. there seems no justice in pakistan even if u want to do the right thing u cant cause the SYSTEM wont let u. u are forced to bride lie exploit to survive here. and i cant even say god help us cause i am ashamded of our deeds . why should HE help us when we have all the bad doing of all the past ppl who have been destroyed over one bad deed. just readlly sad and frustrating.

what the future of our country?
    when judges restore?
Iftikar choudhary remove President or President use 58-2B?
all options, we as common people , in mid of inflation, fuel price, eatable stock price high, estate price high, we all going backward to 60 yrs of freedom till we reach 1947 when we got freedom.
no politician here foresee nation’s future like Quaid M. Ali Jinnah’s vision.
