A Doctor From Hell

I had a persisting elevated temperature for a while my cousin who is a doctor (Anesthetist) put me on some antibiotics but when these medicines didn’t work he got me an appointment for a general physician but because there was almost a week before I would see this new physician so in the mean while I decided to see another doctor ( Doctor “A”) who was recommended by an elderly neighbor.
When I reached at Doctor’s A’s clinic it was eight o’clock. The clinic already had ten other patients waiting to turn before me. I weighted for more then an hour before I finally entered the doctor’s room. Doctor A, a thin man in his forties was sitting confidently in his chair. At first he examined me and asked a few questions, my age, weight, and symptoms. He also asked me what I did but I only told him that I am a student and doing my Masters.
He paused for a second as if thinking, he then tick marked a printed list of tests at 12 different places and announced to me: ” get these tests done, I don’t want to keep anything from you, you have a very serious diseases, you shouldn’t have it at this age but… there are some very bad germs in you body which have caused this illness, you must rest as much as you can, make sure you don’t go out of your house after 9 pm”
At this point I was totally out of my wits, I was numb, nervous and I had actually started preparing my self for death.
But he continued ” You must separate your clothes, your towel, utensils and you should sleep separately. There should be no pets, dogs , cats or birds inside or outside the house”
At this point I gathered some courage to ask him what he think is wrong with me, at which he replied : “there are many kind of germs, I cannot tell you exactly what is wrong with you until I have these results” by now I was so nervous that I next wanted to asked him about how much time I had left to live but then I decided not to.
After I left the room My father asked him again what the illness might be at which the doctor repeated: ” I will only know once I have the results”
I drove back home called my cousin in an absolute state nervousness and read him the list of the tests prescribed to me and asked him what he think could have possibly been wrong with me at which My cousin calmed me down a little and told me to toss the prescription and the list of tests in a dustbin and consult a real doctor. Another talk with a friend further relived me almost an hour later I was completely back to my senses and was cursing the Doctor A, the devil from the hell.
When I narrated my ordeal to someone else the other day I was told another story of a doctor at Shorab Gouth who told a mother that her child has not much time left to live, the mother hearing this collapsed and fainted at this point the doctor nervously sprung out of his seat, splashed water at her face, brought her back to consciousness and and started begging her to calm down, he promised to cure her child within a week, and told her “I had said so by mistake, it was just a slip of the tongue, why did you took me so seriously”…
Similarly one of my cousin said that a doctor had told her that her child’s head has started to grow bigger and it will soon become huge which is very dangerous and recommended to immediately start an expensive (homeopathic) treatment but when the child was taken to an other doctor the kid was declared absolutely normal and healthy.
Almost every other person had her/his own story to tell about such doctors, doctors who don’t even look illiterates, they clinics stay full of patients but they turn out to be complete frauds
