Nadir, rules are already there, if u meet a loyal traffic wala u d actually find that out. but Rs 10 and Rs20 note can do wonders for in khi

interesting thing is that we find it very easy to blame economic conditions for every single thing that is wrong

with major influx of low cost bikes n absence of a proper transportation network..you can only pray for your safety every day try to drive safe

@starkcontrast, may be in the night but what about the day time, anyway i think when there is a law you have to follow it, and by the way on motorway you can't drive a vehicle with tinted glasses.

oh , while driving in Karachi, the only thing which irritates me a lot is behavior of bikers on main roads, specially Shahrah-e-faisal and others, they drive on fast lanes without any fear, i do drive a bike sometime as well but i never drive that way, i am astonished how brave these people are..

@shoaib: why tinted glass? they hardly reduce the visibility of a car which has proper working lights.

perhaps im missing something here? or perhaps you are forgetting that tinted glass is perfectly legal in most other countries except for the hole we call Pakistan.

Great suggestions Nadir, you missed to include the TINTED GLASSES. They also need to be removed from the cars.

I hope this post is sarcastic in nature. But if you think that these people are actually thinking about dying by accident then the last sentence of your post is totally valid for you.

I just think that most of the people are illiterate enough and hence too much ignorant of the possibilities / hazards of anything that they are doing. Its not just the bikers -cars, buses, rickshaw drivers all (not the entire population) behave in such ignorant manner. But that's not we should be blaming them for. Illiteracy, stupidity or other such sort of insanities 'does' exist everywhere, and when these types of things exists it is required for the authorities to implement check and balance.

I believe if the government / authorities don't do anything, nothing is gonna really happen in terms of betterment to anything. There should be laws for malfunctioning lights, proper signaling, speed limits everything. Even the most educated and 'sophisticated' individuals are likely to do something like that. The only thing that keeps one from attempting such acts, is the fear of being watched and to be put to justice no matter what. (that's what religion is based upon, it should be an inspiration to general conduct of life / government / any system involving human beings and their unpredictable and stupid mental state)
