Experts back CDGK in latest tussle with Sindh gov

Experts (even COWASJEE ) have supported CDGK’s stance on KWSB and KBCA in a latest tussle (here here) with provincial gov. which may well decide the future shape of relations between the two sides i.e PPP and MQM. Personally from what i have been able to gather i too stay on CDGKs side. While all of us (especially me) dont spare CDGK for any shortcomings its unjust to take them to task when they are not fully empowered.

It has become a tradition to just throw every other evil into CDGK’s lap so when they talk about unity of command and control and coordination experts believe they are right. Today’s DAWN reports this story on the latest legal (and political) battle that has just began. A seminar on Karachi Strategic Development Plan-2020 organised by NGO Shehri. Ronald D’Souza of Shehri had this to say :
“We as Shehri believe that these two areas (water and sanitation and building control) should be with the city government”

On Thursday, the Sindh government through two notifications took over the administrative control of the KWSB and the KBCA and appointed Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani as the authority and chairman of the two bodies, respectively. However, the city government, in retaliation, issued two notifications on Friday in pursuance of the earlier orders of the Sindh government and made the KWSB and the KBCA as water and sanitation and building control groups of offices.

KBCA is cash cow for MQM’s money man Baber Ghauri and Altaf bai’s terrorist gang.. they can’t let it slip away that easily.. MQM is quite literally caught with its pants down in many cases and now they’re trying hard to cover up things by setting offices on fire(revenue building fire) and other tactics.

MQM’s is busy encroaching play grounds, demarcating small plots and allotting it to MQM’s supporters, encroaching railway lands, road islands etc so obviously they need KBCA

IT tower project awaits crucial CAA go-ahead
    http://dawn.com/2008/04/27/local1.htm

KBCA ignoring CAA’s NOC of 182 feet only and letting working being done right under its nose on a 600 feet highrise tower..

if a building was constructed above the height allowed by the CAA, a notice was served on it and later the building was demolished. “Flight safety cannot be compromised regardless of the fact that a private builder or a government agency is constructing the building,” said CAA official Anjum Hafeez.

  5. wildanjel on April 27th, 2008 @ 4:21 pm

why don’t you make an anti MQM website Doctor? or do you have one? Go ahead and search for more and more anti MQM and KBCA news and post on that site. It would be a great business, and you can earn from PPP or PML(N). I wonder if you take MQM supporter as human or not.

I hope you can get more news and can earn more, as I guess you are currently :P

  6. shoaib on April 27th, 2008 @ 4:21 pm

Hmmm so finally doctor is back to his non-sense and sense less analysis. Its not the question of MQM doctor, its the matter of principles. They departments have to go back to CDGK as a policy as per SLGO 2001. Last Givernment, when Niamatullah never Mayor, never did that. Think good and positive about Karachi Doctor and take out the googles of bias from your eyes.

  7. zeeshan on April 27th, 2008 @ 6:37 pm

I don’t know why people like DOCTOR can’t die in bomb blasts and car accidents? It would make our country so much nicers and safer to live in :)

  8. Shamsi (shamsi) on April 27th, 2008 @ 8:37 pm

Agha Siraj Durrani is in Hurry,.

  9. Adnan Siddiqi (adnansiddiqi) on April 28th, 2008 @ 12:20 am

So Zeeshan, just because doctor don’t agree with your point of view therefore he should die or get killed? Not surprised to read this. altaf did same with Azeem Tariq just because Azeem Tariq disagreed with Altaf.

  10. shoaib on April 28th, 2008 @ 1:10 am

Adnan, there are etiquettes of disagreeing(SUNA HAI JANGLON KA BHEE KOI DASTOOR HOTA HAI) and the way doctor speakes and uses his logics and always blames, what else one can say about him. He is a non-sense and sense less person, to say the least.

  11. zeeshan on April 28th, 2008 @ 4:02 am

Yeah now why don’t you wipe my ass and start licking it too you filthy ahole

  12. zeeshan on April 28th, 2008 @ 4:04 am

Sorry shoaib, I said that to Adnan and not you! Just didn’t want any confusion :)

  13. wildanjel on April 28th, 2008 @ 5:18 am

d0ct0r should quit MB. Quit d0ct0r Quit. Start your own anti MQM blog.

  14. HITMAN (hitman) on April 28th, 2008 @ 12:07 pm

Well every thing the d0ct0r wrote is true & can be verified. e.g. regarding the demarcation of play grounds & all, y don’t u guys visit Ashraf Masjid block C of North Nazimabad. The ground behind was meant for park & a swimming pool & what not. But now 80 yards plot have been marked for distribution of shaheeds’ bewas. another example is Pizza Hut on road Island near metric board office. Saima BridgeView (near metric board office) project is another example. BUT I still believe that these depts. should strictly b under CDGK. However a proper check n balance must be there.

  15. shoaib on April 28th, 2008 @ 1:59 pm

Hello hitman its not about MQM or PPP. Its about the departments and two institutions, CDGK and Sindh Government. The fact of the matter is that the sindh government has taken a wrong decision by illegally taking over the management of Water Board and KBCA. Karachi is still suffering by having control by so many people. We need unity commnand for karchi, yet it be MQM or and any other party come into power.

  16. Adnan Siddiqi (adnansiddiqi) on April 28th, 2008 @ 3:54 pm

Good Zeeshan, you fully exposed that you are MQM supporter. I won’t blame your parents because I am sure they would not have taught yuo this when you were a child. But I feel sorry for your future generations who will be trained by such potty mouth father.

@Shoaib: Where on earth you learnt that if one disagrees you regardless of fallacy in logic should be cursed so much that one wish for his death? I despise Altaf but I don’t use such lame tone that "Hai Allah usko Utha lay". Such tone tells the belonging of the person.

  17. Adnan Siddiqi (adnansiddiqi) on April 28th, 2008 @ 3:56 pm

Why don’t u guys visit Ashraf Masjid block C of North Nazimaba

they are tin soldiers and can do politics from their rooms.

  18. concerned on April 28th, 2008 @ 4:04 pm

    @ Adnan and others

Bhais choro, every thing with you guys has to do with MQM and Anti MQM. Think abt khi.

There is not doubt that it is beneficial for khi if all such bodies relating to khi were under CDGK. Where is the media now, why arent they covering this loot maar by PPP. Sab bikh chukay hain

  19. Shamsi (shamsi) on April 28th, 2008 @ 4:39 pm

in Punjab sitaution is MUCH detriorating, inquiry have already started by Khosa Govt of Lahore Development Fund. Focus is audit of accounts of Mian Aamir office. CDGL controlling the WASA Lahore & LDA Townplanning Office.

2nd probe & audit has started on 25th April of Gujranwala & Gujrat Town funds.

so it is not MQM or PPP – PML (N) or PML (Q)
it is … how much you have made and weather you will share with us or not. ! :)

  20. Shamsi (shamsi) on April 28th, 2008 @ 4:44 pm

    Adnan

Ashraf Masjid is in Block D. Behind The Sky Deck Lawn on main road. The Masjid have the highest "MINAR" of a mosque in North Nazimabad. 1974 a family wedding took place in that Park, so I know the location.

  21. HITMAN (hitman) on April 28th, 2008 @ 4:51 pm

@shamsi Oh, my mistake. Boundaries of Block C & D r too blurred for me. Quick Question: Technical Training Center is in Block C or D, or in both? :)

  22. Adnan Siddiqi (adnansiddiqi) on April 28th, 2008 @ 4:58 pm

Shamsi, you are addressing the wrong person.

On a side note, this news is quite disturbing. Why only Karachi?

  23. wildanjel on April 28th, 2008 @ 5:02 pm

    @shamsi

Ashraf Mosque is in Block C, its too far from Sky Deck. In fact, it is in the ground that was planned to be converted in a water park by an Arab investor but this dream was left over. It is a red mosque and a minar was under construction the last time I went there several months ago.

  24. shoaib on April 28th, 2008 @ 5:35 pm

    @Zeeshan
Yaar come one doctor ko kehnay do laiken avoid this type of language. I apologise for his words, after all every one of us is a karachitte and we have to share the joys and sorrows.

@Adnan, i saw the link of the page and and yes its really very disturbing. Always Karachi has to suffer and has different standards for billing. Why is it so.

  25. Adnan Siddiqi (adnansiddiqi) on April 28th, 2008 @ 10:01 pm

today I read two sad news about Karachi, infact 3(includes picture at IIC rd).

1)guy commits suicide due to mcb recovery team.
    2)KESC.

I think the time has come that We Karachiites stop paying taxes. That’s the only way to combat with this Punjab mafia in Pakistan.

  26. d0ct0r on April 29th, 2008 @ 1:57 am

PPP is hitting MQM where it hurts most, first appointed IG involved in operation against MQM , MQM made hue n cry and now even have started giving him death threats
Now KBCA and KWSB tussle is quite understandable as well, KBCA is literally oozing with money, bribes for approvals starts from 1 million minimum for normal average case while max can be any amount imaginable
depending upon the case and as MQM needs lots n lots of money to maintain its terrorist gang, so obviously it won’t let the goose which lays golden eggs slip away so easily, even more then trying to bag favorite ministries, this issue alone could turn into real bone of contention between MQM PPP relationship.. Manzoor Qadir new kbca chief despite being threatened by Naib Nazima Nasreen Jalil took charge of his office today..

  27. d0ct0r on April 29th, 2008 @ 1:58 am

    @wildanjel: mqmexposed.blogspot.com

this one is specially for you, although i don’t get enough time to blog(am not much of a writer either) ,but for your sake I’ll try to aggregate news from local news sources about terrorism of MQM and grand terrorist Altaf bai..

  28. d0ct0r on April 29th, 2008 @ 2:17 am

according to ex city nazim Naimutullah Khan,in 2002 when he was city nazim and MQM was in sindh govt,MQM didn’t wanted the city nazim to oversee and control KWSB and KBCA so they didn’t repealed the 1979 act, now ironically MQM is in city govt while PPP is in sindh govt and now using that same 1979 act(which MQM earlier didn’t repealed) the ppp govt very much legally empowered to do what ever Siraj Durrani did..

so what ever is now haunting MQM is its own doing, they did the same thing with Naimutullah Khan now this time its their turn to face the music..

@Shamsi the masjid/park you are referring to behind Sky Deck is Taiyaba Masjid D block, whereas Ashraf Masjid ground is on Shara-e-noor jehan and is almost 3~4 times bigger then the park you’re referring to
