    Karachi needs more fire fighters and more fire engines. They have to well equiped to handle the fire in Karachi. No doubt they are doing a mission and really very daring, we saw many examples in the recent past where they sacrificed their life. God bless them.

    Current CDGK has done a gr8 job concerning the fire & rescue dept. MK has almost completely overhauled the said department & these fire fighters r really doing a gr8 job too. However, I believe that theey should be offer quite handsome salaries & free schooling/ hospitalization etc for their families. Only then more people would be willing to risk their lives for us.

    The city government has undoubtly done a good job but as it says, ‘abhi jahan aur bhe hain’ . Frankly, I am impressed (and it’s a hard fact but one has to appreciate what’s good regardless of differences) with the 1122 helpline of Punjab initiated by Chaudry Pervez Iyahi – I had personally witnessed the performance of both paramedics and fire services apart from Rescue Service a.k.a Recovery Teams and it’s brilliant. I think we should be looking at them as benchmark.
