Chundrigar Wednesday, April 16, 2008 Karachi An office was gutted after fire broke out in a multi-storey commercial plaza situated at I.I. Chundrigar Road early on Tuesday morning. The fire erupted in the office of Poly Products Company on the seventh floor of the Trade Centre, which also houses offices of banks and private firms near the Shaheen Complex. The fire brigade staff received information about the inferno at 7:31am and one snorkel and three fire tenders rushed to the scene. It took them two hours to completely douse the blaze, which damaged the office records, computers and other articles but luckily no loss of life was reported. It is believed that the fire was caused by an electric short-circuit.
