How to solve the increasing crime rate in the city.Does any one notice , how badly it effects every ones life.U r in constant threat of being killed or robbed.U cannot wear an expensive watch , use a good mobile phone fearing it might be snatched.U cannot go to police station to register your complian as it would only make things worst.U cannot argue with anyone as he might be carrying a gun.The main concern today is sense of security.For me all other problems are reletively low.
Just see the fate of CHAMPIONS TROPHY , other nations are not willing to come and the revenue we can make from this event could well be gone.Similarly , we do not have any tourism, inspite of having the worlds best hill stations and beaches.Look at Dubai, they get so much tourism despite being a desert city.
CAN ANYONE COME UP WITH A SOLUTION TO CURB THE CRIME RATE OR THE TIME HAS COME WHERE EACH ONE OF US HAS TO CARRY A GUN TO PROTECT OURSELF.

I totally agree with this statement, no one is to blame for what is happening to us, and only we can ourselves put up some courage to face things up and find a better solution.

Why not save something now, why not shut our air-conditioners a bit, and just use remaining power to focus on developing something good and useful in future.

Nadir bhai you can give as many solutions you want but who will listen. There is so little traffic on this forum. I use to check Karachi.metblogs.com regularly but now checking it weekly also works, no new post and sometimes no news at all.

Cursing KESC is not a solution. Most of the people who curse KESC all the times are those who keep more than one A/C on most of the time and keep unwanted lights on. If you ask them why are they doing this they come back with reply,"Bill tu dey rahe hain na" as if ke ehsan karahe hain.

if one starts realizing that one’s luxuries could become disaster for other then 80% of problems would get solved itself. Now one can’t blame altaf bai,Musharraf, current govt etc for our own ignorance. There’s no harm to admit that we screwed up ourselves rather blaming others.

So please, use A/C as less as you can since your care could give smile to some one in your neighbor who has been ill and suffering more due to load shedding. Try once as it’s not as harmful as AIDS.
