while talking to Faisal Qureshi of Samma(cnbc) city nazim said that Rs 110 million have been spent on 54 cameras monitoring parts of signal free corridor 1 in first phase.

Teeth Maestro: This photograph can’t be from Karachi. It clearly says CAPITAL POlICE, a term used by police from Islamabad. And off course the pine trees in the background make it abundantly clear that the shot is from Islamabad and not from Karachi.

Well visit GCS website and its obvious that its a front company..broken links..one email id for contact, some photos and they claim to be consultants for this huge project..hah! Check the domain name and you will find out that on Mr. Aamir A Razzak registed it only 8 months back! and guess what..he doesn\t even have a office as the address he used to register the website is of some other company and his actual company owns salaries..!

I tell you guys what eventually will happen with these cameras. the thanadaar will watch the roads of karachi and will inform mobile units to stop the cars which he think will pay them higher bribe, this will improve their effeciency in daily / weekly bribe collection targets.

Therefore, get ready karachites to be jacked in a bit sophisticated way !!

cameras can be used to catch thieves and can be used by jacking thieves to catch people as well.. eh?

i think they have to mount it secretly so that they can caught red handed and it must be an independent organization who control it otherwise "black sheepz" will used it for their il-legal motives.
